With the arrival of our new baby we wanted to purchase a double all-terrain stroller so that we, and our sitter, could continue to take walks on the beach near our house. We have the single Tike Tech and love it for this purpose. It is well made. The beach is rocky and we were fairly pleased with its ability to handle the rough spots.
br /
br /Unfortunately, the double stroller is not as great as the single for this purpose. Between the weight of the stroller and the weight of two children it is a significant workout to use this stroller. (For the record, my children are 2 and 7 months and weigh a total of about 45lbs.)
br /
br /That being said, we have used this stroller on regular roads, sidewalks and gravelly spots and have been satisfied with the performance. We have taken it to the Bronx Zoo and it made it through the doorways and the childrens zoo with minimal issues. It has good sized under-seat baskets and has a pocket behind each seat large enough to hold a bottle/cup, diaper and a portable pack of wipes. Also, if you are using this as a jogger, it may work for you.
br /
br /As for the head-bumping; I haven't had this be a major issue but I can see how it could happen. My son is a little better than 3 feet tall and is cutting it close when the seat is totally upright. He likes to lay back more so this doesn't cause us any problems as yet.
br /
br /Something else I would like to add: The Tike Tech Company provides excellent customer service and a very solid product. The stroller arrives almost completely put together and is easy to adjust. Also, they have improved the canopy. It could still be better but the changes definitely helped.
br /Hope this helps.
Almost there...

This stroller had everything me and my wife were looking for. Two independant reclining seats. Large all terrain tires. Hand brake. Rain cover... We could not wait for it to arrive. Hurray it's here!! ....wait a minute something is not right. we placed our two year old boy in the seat and pulled the canopy over him, the canopy was sitting on his head and he looks at me as if to say "you're kidding right?" Having the canopy touching his head would give him absolutely no relief from the hot West Texas summer sun. Then we laid him back in the seat. The mesh lining only goes up about four inches and the little brat actually climbed out of the stoller through the top. I was caught trying to hold him from falling and hold the stroller from tipping over at the same time. Our son is not by any means a giant, 67% in height and 45% in weight. This would probably be great for smaller children less than two years I would say. Much to our great disappointment we had to put the stroller back in the box and send it back the next day.
Great for jogging

The Double Trouble has been great for taking my boys out for a jog. I'm sometimes out for as long as an hour and it rolls well, and seems very comfortable for them. We have a single as well, made by Baby Trends, and this is clearly less manuverable and heavier. That means using both hands at times, but for a double, it works well.
br /
br /It is easy to fold and the wheels remove easily for smaller car trunks. We also fold it for storage on a bike hook in the garage, and it is light enough for me to get it up there easily. There are also handy pockets behind the seats for a cell phone and cash, just in case. The jogger has plenty of storage underneath for more leisurely walks to the park or pool.
br /
br /The only thing I don't like is the huge canopy that obscures my view of the front wheel. It provides great sun coverage when needed, but it can be a problem when trying to guide the jogger around potholes and bumps, or going up the curb. It also works as a sail with strong wind gusts. However, I'm not sure whether any of the other doubles work any better in this regard.
br /
br /I would recommend it to others with multiples who want an actual jogger, and not just a sporty stroller (as so many others on the market seem to be). With the straight wheel, it isn't ideal for walking, but I wouldn't recommend jogging with one of the swivel wheeled versions.

(I HAVE IT IN BLUE) What a great double jogger. We had a different one for our first set of twins but it just didnt fit the bill. for the double trouble, these are the features which make it the ONLY double jogger to buy-
br /
br /* The seats graciously reqline, great for a sleepy 8 month old or a 3 year old!
br /* Plently of storage space, pockets on the sides and back of the canopies? WOW. And a removable spacious storage basket
br /* You really DO NOT need to remove the basket to fold the jogger, just be careful!
br /* The bar infront of the kids is great. My 3 year olds love to hold onto it, I can even attatch link-a-doos! My younger babies also like to attempt to rest their feet on it!
br /* The adjustable handle bar! Its great for if your rollerblading, short or tall, or walking. VERY easy
br /* The back wheels pop off very easily, therefore the folding is very compact, I dont have to bring down my 3rd row seating (which I NEED for 2 sets of twins!) I also fully anticipate packing this jogger and other beach neccesities in the truck when summer aproaches!
br /* It can handle rough terrain without a problem, it also manuevers great on mulch or grass!
br /* The kids are NEVER cramped (unlike in my other jogger where they would constantly bang eachothers shoulders)
br /* The foot rest is nice, my 3 year olds like being able to rest their feet.
br /* The rainshield is EXCELENT! It can just roll up on the canopies, and roll down if a sudden shower hits!
br /* The 5 pt. Harness is wonderful, I read the spotlight review about the stroller going upsidedown, I ALLWAYS have the harnesses on, and good thing you did too!
br /* Fits through a standard doorway, AMAZING!
br /* Can hold one kid without being unbalanced, a very nice feature

br /Just to let you know-
br /This stroller is ideal for outside activites (park, walking the dogs, stroll, beach, zoo, snow, ect.) but I would NOT recomend you using this stroller for the mall and regular outings like that, it is a JOGGER.
br /
br /Experience-
br /When I got this stroller it was a little windy and rainy, but I just HAD to try it out, and my 3 year olds were really excited too. I had put Madison in the stroller (AND BUCKLED HER), the brakes were on, and I was just fixing Conners jacket. A HUGE gust of wind sent a bicycle that was next to us (all you parents probably know, there is always some kids toy outside!) down the drive way and I am almost certian that MAdison would have gone with it, but the brakes stopped it from rolling, it just sortof skidded a little bit and wobbled. IT DIDNT TIP! And thank goodness because a car had just turned the corner and totaled the disney bicycle! I am sure that Madison is okay due to the greatness of this stroller.
br /
br /I would recomend it to ANYONE!

I just purchased this stroller for my 3-year old daughter and my 13-month old son. I was so excited about this stroller and I couldn't wait to get it so when it came earlier than expected, I was thrilled. My husband put it together pretty easily so no problem there. The first thing I noticed that I wasn't too happy about was the fact that the front tire doesn't swivel (which is my fault for not noticing prior to purchase). This made it extremely difficult for us since we live in Philadelphia with constant turns and corners. Having to lift up the front constantly was a hassle I wasn't prepared to deal with. The parent/handle bar adjusts to different height settings, which is good but the bad part and probably the worst thing about this stroller is that after lifting up the front at every corner, after a while the handle bar began to click down by itself! It couldn't handle the weight of my children being lifted constantly (and they're of normal size and weight!) so the handle bar began to readjust itself to lower settings. Once it happened the first time, it didn't stop doing it. I had to readjust the handle every single time I took a turn. I was so disappointed that my brand new stroller was already malfunctioning after just one walk. I'd recommend this stroller only if you live in an area where you don't have to turn a lot of corners, because it'd be worth it. My children were extremely comfortable, it handles well over just about all terrains, it's got an extremely spacious cargo compartment, and it's really easy to handle. If you live in a city like me, don't waste your time or your money.
Easy to Put Together, No Cup Holders

We spent a significant amount of time looking at double jogging strollers online and in stores (good luck finding any to look at). We purchased this one for our 18 month old 35 lb. kid and our newborn (now 15 lbs.).
br /
br /1. It came mostly assembled and took 10 minutes to complete assembly. Came with rain cover, which works pretty well (if you remember to put it on :) ).
br /2. Nice wide canopy to sheild from sun.
br /3. Seat incline system is primitive. The most upright setting is not straight enough for our 18 month old, so we have to put blankets under his head. Unfortunately, the folds of fabric fold into the childs head / shoulder area and look like they could cause some discomfort (haven't registered any complaints from the kids on that yet).
br /4. No snack or cup holders for parents or children.
br /5. Small underseat storage, but easy to get to. We just carry some diapers, wipes, a bottle, snacks and water...don't need much room.
br /6. Tires need to be pumped up at least once a week.
br /7. Very HARD to turn if you are short. I am 5 ft. 3 and it is difficult. Hubby is 6 ft. 3 and is OK for him. (See #4 re: drink holder, hard to drink a cup of Starbucks and walk at the same time).
br /
br /Overall, it seems durable and rolls pretty well if the tires are properly inflated.
br /
br /I'm looking for another stroller to walk with because this thing is too hard for me to turn (equivalent to weight lifting, muscle-aches the next day and lots of spilled Java). Also, the squirels in our yard liked the canopy and at a couple of holes in it (this is probably just a personal issue, but I thought I'd share anyway).

I LOVE my Double T. It is beautifully crafted in every way and the price can not be beat! It arrived in a damaged box from another retailer and pulled badly to the right. I called Tike Tech directly, left a message and got a call back in less than 24 hours. Dave from Tike Tech was very helpful, kind and easy to work with. They offered to exchange it for another if we can't get it corrected or for a different model, whatever we needed to be happy with their product. After my excellent customer service experience with Tike Tech, I would recommend them and their products to anyone! This has been the best customer service experience I have ever had! I am very pleased!!!

This is a great stroller, except the handle bar is NOT adjustable. My wife and I have had a Tike Tech single stroller we used almost daily, and really enjoyed the combination of good price, light weight, and good build.
br / I bought this because we had good experience previously, and the adjustable height was a huge selling point for us(both about 6 feet tall). This stroller is NOT adjustable though.
br / Just beware, if that is why you want this one, that it may not be what you expect. The design has changed, and the description may not match.

Great double jogger stroller.
br /
br /fixed wheel is great for in the woods. Both my 3 yr old and 9 month old love it. Individual seats recline. Wish the shade on top would be separate, sometimes my older son doens't want the shade down. His head is close to the top, but he is getting used to it, and now is fine w/ it. They both enjoy sitting next to each other. Great for the active family and for walking in rough terrain.
br /
br /cup holders would be nice. Highly recommend this stroller.
br /
br /happymothers.com shipped this product and it came highly damaged. not sure if this was from DHL who delivered it, or from www.happymothers.com. Both my husband and I had to put it together. Works best if you don't take on and off the bar for kids to hold onto. Very hard to get on/off. We just leave ours on.

I have twins and this stroller is great. I love the reclining seats because I was able to use this stroller before they sat up on their own. The harness is very secure and easy to get the girls in and out of.
br /
br /The collapse mechanism is great and very easy to use. I had a used expensive double jogger before this one and ended up selling it after a few uses b/c it was too hard to collapse. With that one I had to take the wheels off, pull pins, etc. I love how with this I unclip the seat backs and then pull up on the slide things and it folds in half.
br /
br /The rain cover also works great as a wind shield for those days when it's sunny out, but the wind chill is too much for the passengers. The only thing I found is that it's a very tight fit and I can't get it snapped correctly in the back. That's not a big deal b/c all the velco works and it compensates for that.
br /
br /The side zipper pockets are really convenient for the cell phone, keys, etc. I didn't realize how big they were and I'm so glad they are huge.
br /
br /I saw another comment about it being hard to put together - mine was a piece of cake. It was so easy that I don't remember doing it and I know I would have remembered if it had been a hassle.
br /
br /The specs on this page say that it has an adjustable handle bar, but mine doesn't. I've looked on a couple of different websites and they say that it doesn't adjust. HappyMothers is the current listed seller and according to their specs on their website, the handle bar does not adjust. I wish it did, but I'm okay with it as is.
br /
br /My only reasons for 4 stars are the handle bar issue and that I live in Texas and have found that I'm having to go back and get the sun protector in order to keep my girls out of the strong sun. It's too hot here to put them in long pants for our runs, so I'm hoping the sun protector works out and doesn't in turn make them too warm.
Perfect for my twins

I first saw this stroller when we were out in the Cape walking on the many walkways and paths in that area. My husband and I just flipped when we saw this stroller. We actually stopped the person on the path and asked a few questions about it, ultimately to see if their children like the stroller. What originally caught our eye was the color, as it was quite unique and I happen to love maroon (my SUV is maroon). This stroller is loaded with all the features active parents need in a stroller. We especially like the padded seats and storage space. I must admit we are not runners but do love the outdoors and so do our girls. They seem to be the happiest when we are strolling along in their new stroller. The girls and I love it.
