I spent a good amount of time reviewing the many side by side strollers on the market. With two boys the Maclaren offered all the features that I wanted in a stroller. Full recline with leg extensions for my little one and a nice wide seat for my big guy so he's not cramped up in there like a sardine. The individual sun canopys with an additional sun visor offers good sun protection. I especially like how easy the stroller is to push. Those extra large wheels make it effortless to turn and the Maclaren rolled over those nasty crack's that you find in most neighborhood sidewalks with ease. You don't need a degree in engineering to break this stroller down. It's fast and simple. After searching the internet I found travelingtikes.com to have the best price at $349.99 for the stroller including free shipping. They also threw in two free snuzzlers (head and body pillows). I placed my order online and chose the Tangerine color which arrived just a short time later in nice big box. It came pretty much assembled except for the canopy which took two seconds to clip on. The Maclaren stroller also included a weather shield and matching foot muffs for those windy cold days to keep my little ones as snug as a bug. Im one happy camper!

I knew I wanted a side by side We had a front to back double for my daughter and nephew and one was always kicking the seat of the other. I debated between the combi, peg-perego and this one. I ruled out the combi because a friend of mine had it and I didn't like that the seats didn't sit straight up and that they seemed kind of flimsy {even when buckled in my daughter could stand straight up, the seat just moved up with her}. I ruled out the peg-perego because of online reviews about the basket dragging when too much stuff was in it, and also because when we put our 2 year old daughter in one at the store she seemed scrunched in.
br /
br /So I got the Maclaren and love it. It has the head pad for the baby and the covers for the straps. It reclines enough for my newborn to be comfortable. We love the five point harness and that the closure is a little tough to undo {since our 2 year old is very good at getting buckles undone}. The canopy is adequate for our 2 year old, but the infant{when laying all the way down} still gets sun in her face at certain times of the day. {once she is able to sit up a bit more this problem should be gone.} There is more than enough storage on this stroller. There are pockets on the back of each hood that can fit keys, cell phones, pacifers, and other smaller items. I can fit my small diaper bag and purse in the bottom of the two seats {just be careful because when the seat is laying flat you really can't access the baskets.} Our bigger diaper bags handle is wide enough to fit across the two handles and hang from there.
br /
br /My only complaint is no child tray. We love this feature on our Peg Perego P3 since it makes feeding the child a snack pretty easy when you are on the go. In addition the adult cup holders only fit a bottle of water or a childs bottle. In addition if you hit them the wrong way the can pop off.
br /
br /Overall this is an excellent stroller and we look forward to using it for sometime.

Even fits through airport carry-on x-ray machine

I am the mother of six-month old twins and I live in a suburb of New York City. This stroller is the greatest tool we own, because where we live walking a lot is a requirement of life. We've nicknamed it "the Cadillac" because it is nicer than our car. First, I'll state the down-side, which is that you can't snap in baby carseats onto it. However, I take the opportunity to kiss and cuddle each baby for half a moment during tranfer since I tend to put them down so much (unavoidable with twins). Everything else is great. The wheels have taken all kinds of terrain- cobbles, dirt, grass and asphalt. The fold-up and unfold takes 10 seconds and not only does it fit in the trunk of our little Honda Civic but has fit, folded up, through the carry-on x-ray machine at our airport. It seems the designers have thought of everything. I find myself looking through the windows on top of the stroller to check on the twins often. It is so nice not to have to stop to do this. The leg-warmers are great- again, totally easy to snap on and off and the babies can't kick them off like they do their blankets. Also it comes with the best plastic-thingy that acts like a wind-breaker which we've used more than we thought we would as we've traveled into NYC and wanted to protect them from pollution. I haven't mentioned that this stroller turns on a dime. SO EASY to handle. We easily maneouvered this baby through the crowds at Christmas around Rockefeller Center. And it fits easily through doorways. Super-easily through the subway doorways and has fit in the "handicapped" aisle on New Jersey Transit trains. I don't know how we would live without this stroller.

Great stroller for you kids!

What a great stroller! Lots of growth for two kids no matter how old they are. Fully reclining seats one for a newborn and plenty of width for a three year old. The canopy with its pull out visor offers plenty of sun coverage.
br /
br /Folding was super easy and quite compact once broken down. Though 30lbs is heavy the quality is made to last. The big wheels roll over ruff surfaces and the stroller steers like a dream.
br /
br /I like the added foot muffs for cold weather to keep the little ones warm. I also like that they added cup holders for my morning coffee walks.
br /
br /Prices online varied.I purchsed my stroller from traveling tikes.com an online retailer who is currently having a sale on Maclarens with free shipping included.
br /
br /Great Stroller! Great Price!

Not so easy to fold....

After my research for double strollers, my choices came down to the Combi Twin Savvy EX or the Maclaren Twin Techno. Unfortunately, none of the stores around me carried either so I could not physically see what they looked like, or how easy to manouver each was. So I depended on the pictures, user reviews and product descriptions. I chose to order the Maclaren because:
br /1. I thought it had one large basket, as opposed to the Combi which had 2. The maclaren has 2 small baskets.
br /2. The maclaren finish/colors/fabric seemed nicer.
br /3. The handle seemed higher that the Combi's and since I'm 6', I wanted something higher and more comfy to push.
br /I ordered the Maclaren in Crimson. It took me a bit of time to be familiar with the stroller and put on the shades so it wasn't quite a snap.
br /What I don't like about it:
br /1. Forget about on-hand pushing! You need both hands constantly. And this is difficult if you're attempting to open the door in a store at the same time, wheel the stroller.
br /2. You certainly need two hands to fold and unfold this and you have to bend real well to do this.
br /3. The clasps on the harness are difficult to open. You need several tries at squeezing real hard for it to open.
br /4. The baskets are small, though I don't honestly think it could be bigger if the stroller is to remain compact. However, one big basket would have been better. When a seat is reclined, you can't reach into the basket.
br /5. A snack bar would have been nice.
br /6. The rigid cup holders can not hold something like a sippy cup. Seems to work well only for slim/narrow bottles.
br /7. A shoulder carrying strap in addition to the carrying handle would be nice to have.
br /
br /Nice features:
br /1. Looks nice and trendy.
br /2. Once in motion, moves well, can fit through all the doorways or store aisles that I've been in.
br /3. Seems comfortable for my children especially my 6-week daughter to nap in.
br /4. The higher/taller handles. Certainly comfy to the touch.
br /5. Quite compact. Doesn't take up room in the car.
br /
br /I've considered returning the Maclaren in exchange for the Combi Twin Savvy especially because of the fold/unfold ease of the Combi and the clasps seem easier to work. If I had bought this form a physical store, I would have done so. Just the thought of having to go to the post office, plus the cost of returning such a heavy item is at my expense, plus the restocking fee etc of the online store, and I'm forced to keep the stroller.
br /I hope using it gets easier with time but each time I keep wondering of the Twin Savvy would not have been a better choice.

I've had this stroller for almost 2 years now and use it almost every day. The ONLY complaint I have is that when it is folded up it is a little heavy to lift into the trunk of the car. But other than that it's great!
