Great stroller!

Yes, this stroller is large and heavy, but it is a double stroller, they are all large and heavy. It is a smooth ride and handles as well as the single Eddie Bauer stroller. The storage basket is large enough to hold packages for a day of errands. Also, it fits in my car trunk, and I have a Honda Civic. The trick is, take the front seat off! Best of luck!

It's a great stroller! Lots of cushion, maneuvers really easy, great "shocks", not too big, looks very nice. I give it 4 stars because it's a little difficult to fold down and the basket underneath is difficult to get to - small objects fit in just fine. There is always room for improvement and I think the front seat should be a little higher for head support.
Good little double stroller!

I searched and searched to find the right double stroller for my two boys 12 mos & 27 mos old. We finally chose this one based on it's reviews and the compactness.
Pros:
*Very compact. People always say, "oh! I didn't know there was 2 babies in there" because it looks as small as a single stroller.
*Plenty of room for both children.
*Fits perfectly in my trunk, with room for groceries, etc...
*Handles rotate to accomodate taller people.
*Great Fabric too!
*Lower basket zips up to keep items protected
Cons:
*Handle cushions started to tear off after only 2 uses.
*Hard to steer, compared to the Maclaren twin traveler, but you can't beat the price.
Overall, it is a great stroller for the price. I would absolutely love to have a Maclaren, but it is not feasable. This stroller is great if you want a compact stroller that looks great too!
UPDATE: 6 months later: We ended up selling this on eBay! The handle grippers fell off shortly after purchase, and it ended up only pushing well, on super smooth surfaces. We ended up with a Inglesina twin side-by-side, which I LOOOOVE!!!!!!!!

I wasn't going to get a double stroller when my second child came along, but my older child was only 26 months old. I knew that there would be times and places (like the mall) where having her walking next to me wouldn't be practical and carrying her would be impossible. I didn't like the Graco DuoGlider (too bulky; wouldn't fit in our trunk) and I didn't want a side-by-side because of the width. When I saw this stroller in an ad, I headed to the store immediately to take a look. I ended up buying it right then, and I'm glad I did!
Pros:
* Fits in the trunk of either car with room for luggage, groceries, etc.
* Rear seat reclines adequately that, with the 5-pt harness, I was able to buckle in my 4-week-old and feel that he was secure.
* As light-weight as my single Graco stroller
* Easy to push and steer, even with both children in it
* Large canopy makes a nice little cave for the backseat passenger (the baby)
* Compact design--it's not much longer than my single Graco Quattro Tour stroller
Cons:
* The basket is tiny (I have a backpack-style diaper bag, so this isn't really a problem)
* No snack trays for the kids (there's a single cupholder for the front seat passenger)
* No parent cupholder (I've been known to use the toddler's cupholder!)
* The canopy doesn't cover the front seat passenger
This stroller has worked great for trips to the mall and walks around town.

Most of the reviews here are for a different stroller. This stroller doesn't have seats that turn to face each other or accept infant seats.
I bought this stroller a few weeks ago and I really like it. I have a 2yr and a 2mo old.
Pros:
*stadium seating so the back passenger can see over the front passenger
*Comfortably fits both my toddler and baby
*lightweight
*folds compactly
*it isn't much bigger than the single stroller from my travel system
*adjustable hand grips make it comfortable for me(5'6")and my husband(6'2") to push
*easy to manuever even in tight spaces
Cons:
*no cup holder for parent
*no snack trays
*very small storage basket
*canopy only covers back passenger
Overall I really like this stroller. I would have given it 6 stars if the basket was large enough to hold my diaper bag and the canopy covered the front passenger, but I guess you have to trade off some thingsto make it aslight and compact as it is.

This is just a wonderful stroller with everything you need.
Compact, lightweight. There is a lot of things you can do to make this stroller even better. Clip on umbrella for the front seat, clip on cup holder for the parent, mash bag to put on the handles for diapers and stuff and raincover that is made for tandem strollers . We came across car seat problem though since the back seat does not take newborns..........When I took a closer look at the front seat I realized that it looked a lot like my single Kidco stroller that takes car seat. So what we did....we removed the front bar, extended the footrest and car seat goes in very nicely. To secure the car seat in I used a belt that Kidco and Combi strollers use to hold car seat in and ta daaaa..........it's not going anywhere( and I would not use anything that would be unsafe for our baby). WE used it this way till our baby could go in the back seat. The front seat does not recline so what we do......we keep small travel pillow in the basket, so when our toddler falls asleep we can prop him up .Works great!!!!!!!!!

Before I begin, let me just say that a few of the reviews present on this page don't sound like they belong to this stroller. People mention the heaviness and bulkiness of the stroller and how it doesn't fit well in a car, and one reviewer mentioned removing the front seat. This stroller does not have a removeable front seat and is not heavy, and folds more compactly than any stroller I've ever seen - other than an umbrella stroller.)
We purchased this stroller after owning (and loving) the Graco side-by-side stroller. I cannot remember the name of it. It is a wonderful stroller, but when collapsed it took up so much space in the back of our car that there was no room left for groceries or anything else. It was also awkward pushing it through crowds because of its width.
We really weren't planning on buying another stroller, though, until we saw this one - the Eddie Bauer Transit Tandem. We were sold on it almost immediately.
Not only does it collapse down to practically nothing - so much so that we could ALMOST - not quite - fit it on the floor of the back seat, but it is cleverly designed. If our car was a bit bigger than I'm sure that's where we'd put it.
About the clever design - The back seat and front seat both are meant to accomodate a small child. The front seat cannot hold an infant, however, because the seat does not recline. But both seats have the option to extend the seat out past the legs so that a smaller child's legs wouldn't be dangling in mid-air. The front seat has a piece that lifts up and locks, while the back seat has a panel that velcroes and snaps into place, so the kiddo can rest his or her feet comfortably.
The back seat reclines as much as one would need it to. It does not lie flat and for that reason many may not use it as an infant seat, but carseats are installed at an angle so I don't see why an infant couldn't sit in the stroller at a bit of an angle too. A simple infant head support would be necessary, but with the 5-point harnesses the child would be secure and safe.
Neither the front nor back seats accept a carseat. That is no problem; I hate lugging the carseat around anyway.
There is a huge canopy attached to the back seat, so when the shade canopy is up the back seat almost becomes a little cave - my oldest loves to sleep back there. It doesn't cover the front seat nearly enough - that is one drawback but not enough to dock a whole star.
The storage is very little, so you have to be creative. We usually reserve the little mesh zipper back underneath for our cloth diapers, bags, wipes and a change of clothes. Keeping all that there means I can take along a smaller diaper bag which I just hang over the handlebars. There is one cup holder, and a mesh storage keeper in the back for keys, tissues, etc.
The handles are adjustable so you can swivel them around until you find the grip you are most comfortable with.
And this thing is compact; even though it's a tandem it was almost the same length as my sister's single stroller.
The only thing that most do complain about is the fact that the front seat does not recline and the seat back isn't very tall. A tired child would have no place to rest in the front - but for us this isn't a problem because when the baby's sleeping in the back, our toddler gets the front and bends over to lay her head down on the very padded lap bar.
All in all, we love this thing. It was a very worthwhile purchase.

For the money, this works for our 3 yr and 7 mo old. I wouldn't recommend it for twins.
My husband loves the trigger-like handles, except for how squirly they feel when our 30lb, 3 yr old is in front. (Sometimes I put her in back for easier maneuvering, even though her legs are cramped). If the handles weren't separated it'd be a better stroller.
The size is awesome since I drive a small car, and travel a lot. It's pretty light and folds down small. There is a trick to folding it; you have to push in the sides to make sure the legs go in the black plastic holders, is it all models or just ours?

This stroller is very smooth and easy to manuever with two children. The only reason I did not rate it a five is because there is no room to carry a diaper bag on it. It does have a basket underneath, but a small opening so it is hard to put a diaper bag or backpack there. It is also very bulky when it folds down, and takes up most of my trunk. (I have a Camry) Beside that, it is wonderful quality, and easy to move around with good turning radius.

I don't own this stroller yet but I plan on buying it as soon as I can afford it. But I thought that every one reading these reviews would like to know that all the other reviews are for a different Eddie Bauer Tandem Stroller. This one doesn't accept a carseat, the front seat doesn't turn around, the basket is kind of small, but it is very light (for a double), it is about the same size as a big single stroller, but it folds up smaller. I have read a lot of good reviews on it and I have tried it out a little at Target. I think I am going to love it.

I researched this topic to the point of no return so you are getting a good idea of what you are getting with this stroller.
we got ours 1/2006 and we have used is a few times. we have a 3 month old and a 15 month. We already have an Eddie Bauer carseat for our 15 month old so we did NOT want buy another car seat just so she could ride in a dual stroller. I almost purchased teh Greico dual stroller but after actually testing it a local retailer, it was not very durable. yes, the greico is light but it made me a bit nervious considering you are strolling 2 babies around.
Rather then spend another extra $ for an additional carseat, i checked the Eddie Bauer and new we needed this stroller. Its a little bit heavier then the Greico green dual stroller but we did not have to buy another car seat and it feels more sturdy the Greico. Can you put a price on your kid's well being? Exactly my point here.
The stroller is fine and you pay for the name but in the end, it folds up and fits in the back of our van no problem. Assembly was very easy since the directions are picture oriented.
I'd recommend this and I gave it 4 starts out of 5. I know if it were a bit lighter, i'd given it a 5 but i'd rather keep my kids on something that feels more secure then something that feels like plastic.

Well I personally really like this stroller because of two things the front seat can go either direction and the fact that the handlebar is high enough for me (5'10) it is nice to not have a backache after all day at disneyland! It works really well for us even though it has gotten to heavy for me to lift (due to being 9 months pregnant). I do recomend this stroller it is nice for twins or for kids close in age that are not too active. The straps are a litlle difficult to adjust but it is not hard to figure out after a few tries. Good Luck with this stroller!

My advice to anyone purchasing a double stroller online: If you own a car measure your trunk space FIRST before you buy...or better yet, don't buy online unless you've had a chance to see the stroller in person first. Some people may be a bit shocked at how big/heavy these really are...even when folded up! I know I really was!
With that said....
Thank God I didn't buy this stroller new, but purchased at a garage sale for only $20. I understand why they sold it in such mint condition...they probably couldn't take it anywhere!
I have a BMW 540, which has a nice large trunk. I've also tried to fit it in an Oldsmobile Cutlass, a Ford Focus, an Audi A4, and a Nissan Maxima. This stroller is about 2 inches too long to fit in most car trunks from any angle. Kudos to the reviewer who owns a Toyota Camry that this monster fits in!! Unfortunately when it was purchased, I was with a friend with a truck. :o( I never would have considered that it wouldn't fit. This would not be an option for someone with a compact car, or limited trunk space. Also, if you CAN fit it in your trunk, don't plan on doing a lot of shopping, or storing a lot of stuff in your trunk as it will take to nearly ALL your trunk space.
We've only been ableto use this stroller on our property for walks. As a positive, I find it works well on grass...I personally don't have a problem pushing it on unpaved ground.
The cup holder doesn't hold drinks securely....make sure you have a drink with a lid that's not glass if you use it.
We've never had an instance to use the storage since we've only used it at home. Infact, we removed it.
It does provide a smooth ride, and my 6'5" husband appreciates the higher handle...he usually gets a stiff neck with other strollers we've had.
