For months I window shopped and searched for a reasonable travel system that would satisfy my need. Twice a week I would go into Toys r Us and Target to view my options. One day I finally purchased the Graco 530 passage system from Toys r Us after trying it out numerous times in the stores. I put the system together in about 45 minutes. Although I owned this set, I still had the urge to window shop and search for a better option. I finally made my way to Babies r Us and discovered the Aura Elite. I read the few reviews given on the product and gave it some thought. Fearful for what the unsatisfied purchasers had to say, I gave myself more time to research and find reasons NOT to purchase this.

I have known in the past that car seats can be strapped into a car without the base. However in this case, I've learned that
ALL travel systems carseats requires a base to strap into the car. No way of purchasing a travel system without the safety of having a base.

I noticed that the Aura Elite did not have a car seat lock on the stroller which would prevent the car seat from moving in different directions. This is one of the reasons I, myself was reluctant to make the purchase. Luckily another couple was looking into purchasing the same stroller and pointed out the durable, rubber tie which attached the carseat securely in place.

I returned to Babies R Us for a final test before I made the final exchange. I first asked an employee if the system had been returned a lot. She said, "No, it is fairly a new product and has not had any returns or complaints on it yet...." Then I walked around the store with it, to see how well the wheels hold up. Determining that the stroller has been out as a sample for a while the durablity was up to my standard. I played with it more. Folding it down as if I were to put it into a trunk of a car, was the only flaw in the system. It does collapse in an awkward way, folding all the way to touch the floor. But it is avoidable if you hold onto the front as you fold it down. The comfort fold is better than the Graco which would snag my hand painfully as you twist. The Aura you have to squeeze and slide; no skin snagging involved.

After much debate, I chose this travel system based upon it being more functional and reasonable for the price. Without involvement of the car seat, you can fold up the padding into a safe stroller for young infants. The cup holders aren't as deep as the Graco but with the way it is aligned with the rubber, any sized cups are snug. I also liked the fact that there is small zipper pouch below the steering handles and that a net covered the basket below the stroller. I put together the stroller under half an hour. Another flaw is that the instructions weren't as elaborate as what Graco provided.

Another major part that helped in making the right choice was going onto the Evenflo website which has a link for reviews and recalls on carseats. The Embraceý 5-point infant car seat marked high scores.

All in all, I love this system. I am more comfortable knowing that I got what I paid for and more!

The reason I gave this travel system only 4 stars is because there were a couple pros and cons to it. I also have a graco travel system, so there were things that I liked about both of them. On this stroller I have found that because it is taller my husband who is 6'2" was not kicking the stroller when he pushed it. I also love the color of the stroller! My son, Hunter, is only 4 months and we wanted a green stroller to look more masculine. The downside of this stroller is that it is a little harder to close than our graco and opening it isn't as easy because there is a safety lock on the stroller, which could also be a good thing too! The car seat I don't like the harness. But overall it is a good stroller and not many people have it.

Haven't used yet, but already love it!

Our first child is due towards the end of next month, and my parents recently bought us this travel system. Originally, we had wanted the Ellipsa, but that seems to be doing poorly in sales and the Aura appears to be a more thoroughly engineered and redesigned Ellipsa. My husband and Dad were able to put the entire system together in about 30 minutes, which we thought was great. We have pushed the stroller around the house and in the driveway to try it out and it rides smoothly. The one-handed steering turns very well. I didn't notice any shaking of the wheels, but the wheels do have to be put on the stroller, so maybe people just need to double check that they are on tight and secure. The car seat on ours fits well onto the stroller. It hooks onto the tray and there is, in fact, a thick rubber extension that latches to one side to keep the front stable. At first, we didn't have this snapped in all the way and it was a little wobbly, but after we actually read the instructions, we figured out the proper placement and the car seat is secure. In the previous post, the inconvenience of the strap adustment on the car seat was addressed, but if you look at the design on the back, it is a safety feature. Some of the other manufacturers' car seats may be a little easier to adjust, but many of them are only 3-point restraint sytems and this one is a 5-point restraint. We opted for the safety of the 5-point and not the ease of the 3-point.The basket on the bottom of the stroller is huge and is big enough to hold a good sized diaper bag. My husband loves the one-handed folding system. He has collapsed it multiple times to get the hang of it and it has never just crashed to the floor, but of course, you have to keep your hand on it and guide it or else it probably will come crashing down. We are very satisfied with this system and are glad we received this instead of the Ellipsa.

I was originally attracted to this travel system because the color matched my car's interior, but we bought it after playing with all of the travel systems in the store. It seemed to be the most maneuverable, and it collapses easily with one hand. It folds down very compact and fits easily into my trunk. the car seat is great - baby fits into it very well, and it snaps onto the stroller and the base with ease.

The only problem I had was that the head bumper in the car seat was too big for my baby. Her little head rolled around and was not well supported - I'm sure she will grow into it, but until then I picked up an Eddie Bauer head support, and it fits great and provides more stability for her head. But other than that, it all works great!

This travel system is just what we were looking for! We love the idea of the stroller and infant seat in one. The stroller is very sturdy and convenient to use with the one handed option. The locking wheels make it easy to steer in dirt or very bumpy areas. It has a convenient swivel tray which will allow our son to get in and out himself without us having to lift him when he is older. The additional car seat bases are so affordable we bought one for our second vehicle as well as grandma's car. We also love that the car seat locks onto carts at the stores. The only problem is the canopy falls repeatedly, causing a tripping hazard when carrying the seat and it also gets stuck under the car seat base in the vehicle. We will try to remedy this problem with sew on velcro or snaps. This system will no doubt be a favorite through the growth of our next child...someday.

I had previously reviewed this system before my daughter was born and gave it 5 stars. Now, at almost 6 weeks old, I still give it 5 stars. We have taken her out to a few places in this and it is great. The stroller rides very smoothly, even in parking lots and is very, very easy to turn. The car seat has been wonderful as well. I will admit that it is a little dificult to adjust the straps, which we do every time we put her in it, but only the first few times you try. It has become much easier for us to adjust them as we have become more at ease with what we are doing! It only takes me a few minutes now and I've only adjusted the straps by myself a few times. All in all, I would still buy this system if I had to do it again. Definitely worth the money!!!!

we've had this system for 4 months. we love it.

-the stroller is great, no problems with it folding down
-the car seat snaps into the stroller, but now she's big enough I don't need the car seat, she can just sit in the stroller
-the car seat is a 5-point harness, which is the most important thing when looking for a car seat. does make it more difficult to adjust straps & get her in and out -- but she is SAFER
-never had a problem with wobbly wheels
-now that she's older her head does fit into the headrest, but a newborn needs additional support of blankets or storebought headrest

I seriously cannot think of one negative thing to say or a bad experience I've had. especially since we found this item for sale for $120 at a local dept store, it has been one of our best purchases ever.

I don't see how others don't like it

After much research I purchased this travel system when I was pregnant with my son. I decided on it because of the fair price and it was the one I liked the best when I tried out all that were available at Babies R Us. As for the carseat, I have absolutely no problem with the canopy either staying closed or open, the straps work great and it is simple to adjust them once my son is in the seat. His head does flop, but that is because he is an infant and you have to use a head support (one other than the one the seat comes with). The reason I only gave four stars is because I don't like that when you fold the carrier handle into the position it SHOULD be in to go in the car (which is all the way back), it is impossible to fit into the back seat of my car unless the passenger seat is pushed all the way forward, so I just leave the handle up in the carrying position.

Now, the foot rest of the stroller is scuffed from folding it up and having it hit the ground, but it's a footrest and would have eventually gotten messed up anyway. I feel that the carseat fits very securely in the stroller, too. I have also used the cradle feature of the stroller and my son snoozed and squirmed happily while in it. The wheels are steady and I often push the stroller on a brick road near our home. The baskets at the bottom are very roomy and I love the parent tray and cupholders. All in all I feel like I made a good decision.

I was using my Aura Elite for 3 weeks when the system broke. The locking mechanism when you open the stroller does not lock, and the stroller is not usable as it is not safe to use at the moment. I did contact Evenflo and they are replacing the entire Travel System. The only other problem I seem to have is that the wheels don't seem to roll nicely but wobble.
Other than that, The stroller is a very nice system, yes it is bulky and folds awkwardly, but I still love it! I have had no complaints with the car seat at all!

I am a first time mom and have to say that I really like this travel system. I find it easy to use and it rolls really nicely. I do have to say the only thing that I am disappointed in is the pull that allows the seat to go up and down. I wish that was a little different than just a cord to pull but all in all I would recommend this travel system to anyone

This travel system is completely easy to use and very very simple to put together! I love the fabric colors and the soft material on the carseat. I also love that the stroller can be used as a cradle stroller also....nice technique! We haven't actually gotten to use this as our baby isn't due until next month, but just playing around with it...I have found that even our 3 year old can use it! Great Item!

I had gone through with my husband and checked out the strollers at the local BabiesRUs store. We had picked this one out originally because of it's handle heighth, my husband being fairly tall (6'2) and with a bad back, he needed something he wouldn't have to hunch down to push.
Well after reading the reviews,. I always check the negatives because those tend to be the most important, you can love something, but why do they hate it?
After reading one negative review,. I thought I would check out the stroller a bit more carefully, just to see if what the customer had said held true.
I found that they were right. The biggest concern for me being how well the car seat locked into the stroller. With the Graco strollers, which I had with my first daughter, the latch locks into the stroller the way it would the base in your car. This stroller does not do that. Infact, I couldn't figure out what was holding it in which is a little scary. Also, a less concerning feature problem they had pointed out was how it folded, how it sorta just falls to the ground. That also held true, so taking the advice of the customer who wrote, I decided to also check out the stroller they did recomend, it was the Graco quatro.
I played around with it for awhile,. LoL, Nothing like having a very pregnant lady fiddling around with the little gadgets in the middle of the store. Least I found myself funny. Anyway,
The Graco car seat still latched into the stroller the way my old one did, but with an added "safety" feater, on the stroller were to latches on either side that folded over, locking the car seat in from the back (where baby's feet would be) adding extra security. Plus the way it folded, which I must admit took me the longest to figure out, was very smooth. It sorta goes into a "tri fold" versus the usual "bi fold" making it fold more gently, least not collapsing to the ground in a heap.
Those two were the most important things I had to check out, and of course, I dragged my husband back in to make sure the heighth was okay. With everything in the clear, that was the stroller we went with.
So I too wouldn't recomend this stroller, but say to pay the extra twenty dollars for the Graco Quatro!

I love the colors of this stroller. I like that you can recline the sit all the way down and lift the front of the legs, so the baby can sleep and not worrie about her falling out. My 4 month old loves to sleep in the stroller. What I don't like: I went for a walk with my new baby, the front wheels started to shake, I wasn't walking fast. I have a old stroller from my 3year old son, that stroller you can walk as fast as you want, and the ride is really smooth. I will try to take the strooler back and get a new one. Hope you find a great stroller.

I have NEVER been more disappointed! We ran into many problems after purchasing this stroller for our son. First of all the back of the car seat barely locks into the stroller, a mere piece of rubber is all that holds the car seat in from the back. Secondly the canopy isn't tinted like many other strollers (Quattro Tour) so my son got so hot every time we used it. Collapsing the stroller is terrible, yes it is one handed but the entire stroller crashes to the ground and the tray often gets filthy and scratched. I am very disappointed in Evenflo. As for the carseat you have to adjust from the back each time to loosen and tighten the straps unlike the Graco Snugride with an easy ONE strap from the front. We donated the stroller after we found it was too late to return it. We purchased the Limeberry Quattro Tour by Graco, best stroller out there! I do not recommend this evenflo!!

I was very disappointed to find out that it has to be used in a base and can't be strapped in just using a seat belt. I would have to 3 additional bases to make this work for me. Not worth it.
