Simply ... Fantastic !!!The TIKE TECH DOUBLE TROUBLE is simply a fabulous stroller. We have the single ROADSTER and now just love the double. It is so light, easy to push, and the rain cover is a great addition. This stroller is the perfect size! Not to bulky and yet, still very roomy for our children. Very easy to maneuver, and it fits through most single doors - what a pleasant surprise. With plenty of storage space, seats that individually recline and an aluminum frame, the DOUBLE TROUBLE gets 5 stars!!!!

This is a great stroller! p*Folds quickly Compactly (* when folding, after side clips are unclipped side plastic braces flipped up, give a quick slight tug on black plastic piece on front side of stroller inbetween the seats if needed) br-states to remove basket underneath when folding up- I don't to save time, I just push the basket up from below carefully when folding it still folds easily (it did come folded in box with basket on) p*Side wheels pop off with push of a button front wheel is a quick release br* seats fully adjustable- works great when the kids just want to nap br*pockets on sides of canopy BACK OF SEATS! br* roomy removable basket underneath * fits through standard doorways br* came with a great quality rain shield!!! Comes in handy! You can even leave it attached to the top of canopy roll it up on rainy looking days so all you have to do is roll down snap under below footrests. Either way- it's much easier to attach than the other rainshields I've used on other strollers. pWe use it all the time- for walking, jogging, blading with the kids- (works well at the beach/ on rough terrain too). Smooth ride, easy set up, folds well. Plenty of room to grow! I have a 2 1/2 y/o 8 m/o that I fit in here no problem. I had bought another jogger before this my daughter didn't fit in it well at only 20 months! Now with the Double Trouble, my sister was so impressed she bought one too she has ages 6, 4, 2 y/o. Very lightweight- I use it a lot it seems quite durable. I'm very satisfied with purchase (from barebabies.com) I even bought the seat inserts that I like too. The baby fits better with the insert I use the inserts in my WIKE Moonlight too- works really great!!! br*not ideal for something like shopping at the mall though- unless you have a lot of room there... br* To keep the canopy from folding back when windy (doesn't lock I like to blade a lot) I put a cheap window roller shade in each side of the canopy zippered pockets) brIt's supposed to fit up to approx. 6 yrs. My youngest was about 5 months when we first put her in it with the insert- worked great. Oh- one day it was very windy- I had the back brake on the baby strapped in (Thank goodness!) the stroller tipped over backwards from all the wind (she was little then) with her in it when I was putting her older sister in the car.- She was upside down hanging in the straps- and secure. She was fine. Always buckle them in! What a scare!
Great stroller!

We're not really into jogging, but needed a stroller that could handle gravel or dirt paths, since most of the parks and recreational places in our area don't have paved paths. I really like the large storage area under the seats and it even has pockets behind each seat. The handle bar is comfortable to grip and the stroller rides very smoothly. The stroller also fits very nicely, once it's folded up, into the back of our Ford Escape. Also, it's very easy to fold up and easy to load. We are very happy with this stroller.
Okay, but pricey for what you get!

I have a toddler and newborn, and walk a lot, so I wanted to get a double jogger stroller that would handle the bumps on my neighborhood sidewalks and also other treks.
br /
br /Pros:
br /*Nice and high - perfect for tall people like my husband and me
br /*Seats are straight - with the Expedition stroller, the seats tilt inward and are really weird - my daughter was NOT a fan when we tested it out at the store
br /*Good protection in front/harness is good
br /*Lots of storage space in baskets, and lots of little pockets on canopy
br /
br /Cons:
br /*Not a swiveling stroller! This is my BIGGEST beef with the stroller, and, frankly, with the selection at Babies R Us. I've seen double joggers that swivel on other websites (Schwinn makes a great one), but since I was buying this with gift cards, I was limited to the TWO that Babies R Us carries. A single stroller that doesn't swivel is one thing, but when you double the weight it makes steering even more difficult! I had my daughter and niece in it, and together they weigh about 80lbs, and it wasn't much fun to pop the front wheel up in order to turn! I guess if you're walking mostly straightaways that isn't much of a problem, but it's really very annoying. Almost to the point where I have considered returning it...but again, there's the issue of this being the best I can get off of the BRU website.
br /*Seat Height - my daugther is only 2.5, and although she's tall for her age, her head hits the canopy when it's down!
br /*The seat is open at the back when reclined - I read other reviews that mentioned this and didn't realize how bad it was until I saw it for myself. A child really can, pretty easily, climb out the back of the stroller. And it doesn't take them very long to figure out that it's really fun to flip over and stick their heads out the back.
br /
br /If I had to do it over again, and didn't have to use gift cards for this purchase, I would definitely have gone with the Schwinn Safari double stroller. It's less expensive and a much easier stroller to maneuver (I tried out my friend's so I know this first-hand).

I recently purchased the maroon version of this stroller in January for a trip with my 2.5 year and 4 month old kids. I did a lot of researching double stroller and/or alternatives to single strollers (i.e. kiddy boards) as well as writing to the company to ask some questions. Since I live in Alaska and need to fly out to visit family - I wanted something that I could travel with and use as jogging/outdoor stroller. Here are some things you might like to know:
br /
br /PROS:
br /* It really does fit through a standard doorway - we were all amazed!
br /* My kids love to ride in it and sleep! The reclining seats are faboulous!!! I put a head support in the seat for the baby and she did great!
br /* The rain canopy that comes with it works well but doesn't fold very well on the top - you just have to pile it up or take off completely once it stops raining.
br /* The stroller responded very well with a full load and gear. It also was well balanced with just one kid in the stroller - no tipping or pulling to one side.
br /* The wheels come off very easily.
br /* The simple folding mechanism is great.
br /* Overall I'm impressed with the workmanship and the company. They responded very quickly to all my questions.
br /
br /Cons:
br /* Even though it doesn't have a drink/parent tray - the pockets can hold water bottles, etc... and I just hung a bag on back handle.
br /* The top canopy is short towards the rear....Since my two year old is little this wasn't a big issue...but could be if you have a tall kid.
br /* It does take up room - we have a Subaru Outback and it can fit in back with wheels on/folded - but it's tight. Works better to have wheels off.
br /
br /Final thoughts:
br /I recommend you purchase the stroller bag (from other sites) for traveling with the stroller - keeps the stroller together and has great strapes for hauling the stroller. Plus you can stuff other gear into the bag and still be under the 50 pound rule at the airport :)
br /
br /We got a lot of use out of this stroller in a short period. Because it doesn't have lots of plastic parts - we've been able to use it in the cold and on snow plowed streets as well. I look forward to getting several years of use out of it and selling my single jogging stroller.

I walk an hour a day using my Double Trouble stroller and my toddler and newborn seem to look forward to the walks as much as I do. I also have a single jogger by Baby Jogger, but I find myself using my double stroller even when I'm just pushing one.
br /The Tike Tech Double Stroller stands taller than most jogging strollers which is easier to push for those of us who are tall, especially if you're on roller blades. However, the bar is adjustable for those who don't need the extra height.
br /Another nice feature is the adjustable seat safety bar which I haven't seen on other strollers. My toddler loves holding onto it.
br /My personal favorite features are the multiple storage compartments and the smooth ride. This stroller is wonderful for jogging, walking, exercising, and trips to the beach or zoo. However, as others have said, it isn't ideal for trips to the mall. If you intend to purchase a stroller for outdoor recreational use, I highly recommend this stroller.

I decided to purchase this stroller after testing our neighbors. Our street is full of parents with babies and on Sundays the street looks like a stroller racing track. That was great for me and my wife. We were able to see and test many strollers as they all seem to be on our street and in the area. I was lucky to push some other brands that are more expensive and I must say this stroller just felt better then the other strollers we tested. This stroller is fully loaded with all the features a parent and child could ask for. I especially like the individual lower recline feature. The stroller rolls with such ease and the rain cover being included is a great idea as they cost around [...] which takes the base price up on many other strollers. Our little guy's both a year old now (they are twins) have a great time in this stroller and seem to be very comfortable. I was thinking of purchasing a model with front swivel wheels but I just did not like the way the swivel wheel felt. I tested three different brands. The one I liked sold for more then [...] and compared to this stroller I just could not justify spending that kind of money. The other two front swivel wheeled strollers that I tested had a rattle feel to the front wheel area which I was so surprised about considering they both sold for more then [...]. I am not sure if that was because they were 12 inch wheels or if it was the designs. This stroller is one of those purchases I am very pleased about and it has held up perfectly for us over the last year .

We were swayed by the positive Amazon reviews but have been extremely disappointed in this poorly made stroller. Of the many design flaws, I'll specifically name 4:
br /(1) The sun/rain hood has nothing to keep it down, any bit of wind causes it to flap backwards on itself
br /(2) Turning requires significant downward force on the handle bar to lift the front wheel. Unfortunately, the "adjustable" handle bar clicks out of position every time you push down on it to turn. Very annoying.
br /(3) The steering was out of alignment from day 1. On inspection, it looks like the frame was constructed wrong is or misaligned.
br /(4) The foot brake fell off after a week.
br /
br /Do yourself a favor-try before you buy, and look at other options. This stroller is not worth the money.

I own a lot of strollers for my twin sons ((this one, the duoglider, two small single strollers, and a double umbrella stroller)) and I absolutely LOVE this one!
br /
br /First of all, if you want to be a satisfied customer you have to know what the purpose of the stroller is, which is for jogging, or maneuvering outdoors on rough terrain. My husband jogs with the stroller at least once a week ((and has no complaints)), but I on the other hand just adore it for the outdoors. The wheels go over almost any surface, including gravel, dirt, grass, concrete, brick, sand, boardwalk anything, I love it. The seats both fully recline ((individually)) and when they do, the rear of the seat is mesh so you can see your child from behind ((although you would most-likely have to bend down to get a good look)). The five-point harness on a jogger is a MUST HAVE, and this model even comes with comfortable pads as well. The basket is HUGE and holds everything we need for a day at the beach/park/walk around the block, which is very important to me. It is also removable, but I don't see why it would be advantageous to take it off. Plenty of other storage is available behind the seats as well, handy little pockets and pouches to store little knick-knacks. Considering the type of stroller it is, it folds very easily, and I can fit it in the rear of my minivan after removing the rear and front tires ((which is equally as easy to do, rear tires come off with the push of a button and the front has an easy to use release mechanism)). The canopy is enormous and proves for GREAT sun protection when needed! The breaks are FANTASTIC, and stop the stroller in its tracks which is very important if you are jogging, and need to stop quickly, according to my husband anyway. The included wind/rain shield is also very convenient ((can be left rolled up to the top of the canopy, incase there is a chance of rain you don't have to work for 5 minutes to attach it and get the kiddos wet)), but I do wish it also came with mesh covers for mosquitos and other bugs.
br /
br /I do dislike the fact that it is EXTREMELY difficult to turn ((although I have kind of gotten it down to a science, you need to be prepared for the turn and tilt the stroller a bit, the turn is very wide and not that smooth)). I think it would be better if it had a swivel wheel which had the option to lock in place for jogging ((a swivel wheel would actually be extremely dangerous if jogging as you could lose control of the stroller)), but that's just me personally. The baskets are near impossible to access if both seats are reclined all the way, and I have had to wake sleeping babies on a few occasions ((that's why I have learned to put things such as my cell phone and wallet in the canopy pouches, so I don't have to constantly go into the basket)). The canopy is quite large, and if you are not using it its quite a pain to retract as it doesn't go back neatly, and if its a windy day the canopy doesn't always stay up.
br /
br /If you are looking for a good stroller for outdoor use, and don't mind the large size or getting used to turning, then I highly recommend the Tike Tech!

I am sure this is a good stroller (that's why I bought it!)

br /My "review" is more of a word of caution: this thing takes forever to arrive. Don't be fooled: "Usually ships within 24 hours" really means "May ship sometime". As of 2/8/06, our stroller has not arrived. It was ordered January 1, 2006. It is not even slated to ship for another week (we'll see...).
br /Meanwhile, the local store has several in stock.
br /My advice for anyone trying to time this as a gift or for a trip or other occasion: go to your local store. Otherwise, be prepared to wait a very long time.

It is easy to handle. We live in Florida and the heat here can be very intense, but with this wonderful jogger for two it makes it easy to take the boys for a jog or walk and they are very well protected with the wonderful canopy and easy clear window on top of canopy that we can check on them as we roll. The best part is the easy adjustment of each seat. One can sleep, while the other catches all the action. The best investment I have made for my grandchildren right now. Thank you!

I have 3 children, a 3 month old, a 3 year old, and a 6 year old... As many of you parents of multiples know, its very annoying to want to get some excersize done outdoors having a little kid trailing behind in a tricycle, or scooter, or what ever... heres your solution!
br /
br /I loved how balanced this jogger is, I can have one kid in it, two in it, or even a 6 year old and his littlest sister (when she can sit up I mean)... The wheels move just enough to be able to jog easily and turn "OK"... It even manuvers well with my scrawny son, hes 6 but it still works just fine for him sometimes! The canopy is better than others, and it does its job. The little bar is cute, although its really only a foot rest for a boistrus 6 year old LOL. The blue is nice, I enjoyed it. The adjustable handle bar is great for when roller blading (my husband, not me!) and its good for tall v.s short, no struggling to find the "perfect" stroller for you and your partner! The wheels handle rough terrain like sand, boardwalk, mulch, gravel, bumps, hills, WATER (water on the shore of the beach) mud, snow, rain ANYTHING with ease... a nice and smooth ride for everybody. I love using the jogger in Manhatten when we go to visit my mother, it steers easily and its GREAT at Central Park, the bronx zoo, or just being out and about all the time (she doesnt have a car) Its not too heavy to PUSH, but to lift, and fold its really anoying (well I am a owner of an extravagent SINGLE travel system, Ease with a capital E!!!) but for a double jogger it does fine. It deffinatly fits in my husbands pick up, but it can fit OKAY in my SUV with the front wheel off. I can walk the dog and the kids and my husband always takes the kids for long runs on weekend mornings (sometime up to an hour or so!) They are always comfortable and the 5pt is great for my 2 year old. The basket can store a picnic lunch, jackets, blankets, purse, anything very easily. We use this stroller all the time, and sometimes use this with one child even though we have a single jogger too...
br /
br /
br /I love the simplicity of such a great stroller that really does last and last... I WOULD NOT recomend using this as a primary stroller for the mall and, the airport? its not that nice, but its great for outdoor activities and I honestly couldnt be happier, and neither could my kids who HATE to run behind daddy on those LONG sunday mornings!

I have had my fair share of experience with double jogggers. I used to have a different one which did NOT fit the bill, but here are some reasons why the Tike Tech Double Trouble Stroller does!
br /
br /* ALOT of pockets and storage. The basket is optional and I love that there are pockets to store extra trinkets on the backs and sides of the canopies
br /* Spacious seating! I cant tell you how annoyed I was (and my twins were) with how SQUISHED they were in their other jogger, not in the tike tech!
br /* Individual reqlining seats, VERY nice for a fussy 3 year old(s) or a sleepy 8 month old(s)
br /* 5 pt. saftey harness! Many MANY strollers STILL do not have a 5 pt. harness, especially if you are running, a 5 pt. harness is not compensatable!
br /* The bar in the middle is great, my 3 year olds love to hold on to it, and all of the kids try to put their feet up on it! It is also great to attach link-a-doos and other small toys (and it also adjusts!)
br /* The stroller DOES fit through a standard doorway!!! AMAZING
br /* The foot rest is good, my 3 year olds enjoy stamping their feet and I am sure that my 8 month olds will too!
br /* The rainsheild is great, It can roll up onto the canopy for when not in use, and when you need it you just roll it down and clip it under the foot rest
br /* The basket does NOT need to come off when you fold it, just be careful!
br /* The back wheels easily snap off and the whole jogger fits into the back of my SUV, and I dont have to bring down the 3rd row seating! (which I need for 2 sets of twins!). I also fully anticipate stocking this stroller and all the other beach neccesities in the trunk when the time comes
br /* The adjustable handle bar is nice, good for adjusting for tall of shorter people, or for if your rollerblading, or just however you feel comfortable!
br /* This is a very durable stroller and can easily go down/over curbs, ride on mulch, grass AND sand, without a hassle!
br /* I can easily push this stroller and walk the dogs! GREAT
br /
br /JUST SOME ADVICE-
br /I would NOT recomend you using this as a mall/shopping stroller, it is meant for active or outdoor activities and rough terrain, yet I do see it very possible to bring it to an airport! (I just prefer my Aria MT Twin for things like that!) Though this stroller is great for family outings, I put the 8 month olds in the stroller, the 3 year olds ride their kettrikes with daddy and I can even walk the dogs too!
br /
br /EXPERIENCE!!!
br /The first day I brought home the double trouble was a drizzly day and it was pretty windy. I was so excited and REALY wanted to try it out, and the rainsheild of course, (I wanted to know that in the event of a down pour while we were jogging that it would work!) And my twins were eager to try it out too! I had my daughter (3 years) BUCKLED into the seat and I was fixing her twin brothers jacket. The brakes were on as well, thank god! There was a little cheap disney bike on the drive way as well as the stroller and a HUGE gust of wind blew the bike down the driveway into the street! The stroller just sort of skidded a little bit and wobbled but DID NOT TIP! And it didn't give way to the wind and go into the street. Now heres the part that always makes me VERY greatful when I think about it, as soon as the bike wound up in the street a car turned the corner, needless to say the bike was totalled! THANK GOODNESS FOR TIKE TECHS BRAKES AND STABILITY OR MY LITTLE GIRL COULD HAVE ENDED UP LIKE THAT BIKE!!
br /
br /I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS JOGGER!

We hadn't thought it neccesary to get a jogger at first, until once our twin boys were born and we found that we couldnt use the MT TWIN for running! We realized other strollers were great (Aria MT twin) but they werent as good for runs, the beach and rough terrain/weather. This particular double stroller fit our then 13 month old twins perfectly, they werent squished. The seats reqline, making it nice for those early morning dog walks. The bar infront of them is some big hit, they love holding onto it and sort of pushing their feet off it, its also adjustable. Speaking of adjustable, the handle bar is too! Thats great for when my husband is rollerblading down the boardwalk with the twins or just down the street! The brakes are like bicycle breaks, they are very easy to use, and they work well. The basket is very nice, it holds a decent amount, and like the previous reviewer said, you dont need to take it off when you fold it, you just have to be careful. There are also storage pockets on the backs and sides of the canopies. The Canopies cover our babies well, much better than the Aria Twin does, so we use this one more on "sunny" days. The wheels handle different terrain well also, gravel, boarwalk, sand, grass, anything and its up to the challenge. The rainhood CAN roll up to the canopies if you are in fear of rain, and than easily roll down and snap under the footrest. The stroller folds very easily in the back of my range rover with just popping off the back wheels. It steers VERY well, I never feel like I am fighting it, and thats very important while running or with rollerblades on. The stroller actually DOES fit through a standard door way... YEY! Our now 20 month old twins love this stroller and dont mind going out for a walk in the morning, as long as its in the double trouble! I wouldnt suggest you using this as an all the time stroller, it doesnt manuever well through a mall scene and things like that, but its great for recreational purposes. My boys, my husband and I all love this jogging stroller
Well.......I had hoped for more

This was the first double stroller that I found that I both liked and could afford. I read all the reveiws from this site as well as those on [...]and some others. They were mixed. I have never owned a double before so the weight suprised me, but its nothing I couldnt lift. It is easy to put together, but when I folded it the snaps connecting the material to the foot plate came undone, and it was hard trying to get all of them to snap in place the first time.It fits in and out of my front door. I took my oldest son up and down the street, without my youngest and it steered fine with only 1 child. It is extremely easy to push, hard to turn, I do not recommend taking it into the malls. I plan on going on the trails by the lake as soon as I get over being sick. My son is 29 months old and 3 feet tall. ( he weighs 33lbs.) His head touches the canopy and goes half way over the top of the seat. The canopy is kind of saggy in the middle where the kids heads go. I am thinking that I could rig up something so that it doesnt touch his head. I dont know how much longer he will be able to ride in it, which sucks cause I spent so much money on it.I have not taken it off roads yet so I have no comment on that. If you have twins or kids younger than 2 it will probably work good for you and you will be able to get some good use out of it. Foot plate had a bunch of dents and scratches on it and there is a black stain, maybe grease, on one of the seats. The seats are not easily reclined, I would not want to try it when one of them are sleeping.

This mega stroller is great exept for 2 things:
br /1. it is way too tall for maneuvering and handling it up and down sidewalks and
br /2. the basket is cliped on (see picture) with pressure so it falls off with whatever you may place underneath.
br /
br /We use it for the beach a lot and have ended up putting towels and bags up on the canopy to avoid a stream of objects on the pavement along our way.
br /
br /There are other, more compact looking double joggers.

Okay, so the canopy. Well it was touching my sons head, however there is a natural bend in the metal that holds the canopy up (that slides through the canopy like a curtain rod)(where it connects to the stroller)and I took it out and put it though the other way and my son has like 2 inches between his head and the canopy. For the other people that had or will have this problem, this is an easy fix.I hope some people who already left reveiws will come back and read this. I give it 4 stars now instead of 3 on my other reveiw. My other reveiw is labeled kamarina.

When you are a mother of twins (or two small children for that matter) you become accustomed to lugging around huge pieces of baby equipment - it's part of the job. With that being said, this jogger, by far, is the easiest to cart around - not too heavy, not too many parts and it is nice and sturdy (not to mention that my 6 mo old boys love it!). It's great for moms like myself to have - no more excuses on why I can't run any more! Handles great - it's no different than other joggers so steering can be cumbersome but it's a nice smooth ride and as long as you don't need to make a series of sharp turns - you'll love it!

It took several weeks for us to receive the stroller (that was because UPS damaged the first one they sent), but when we got it we loved it. We have a 10 week old and a two year old and they both fit in the stroller fine. The handle bar does not adjust heights, but it is much higher than other handle bars. I like the shade that the canopy provides. We have not yet used the rain cover but we are glad it came with it. Very smooth ride for the children and easy to push while running or walking!

I got this as a gift when my second child was born and I absolutely lvoe it! My children are a year apart and are both very comfortable in it. The ride is magnigicent! We can hit a bump and the kids don't even notice it. It provides excellent sun protection from a wonderfully deep canapee. I would recomend this to anyone who needs a double stroller. Then only drawback, and it is small is tht it is not portable. It doesn't fit in the trunk of our car. But other then that it is a great stroller!!

But after ordering it twice from Amazon, and having both arrive either defective or damaged, I give up on this stroller. First one arrived and it turned out after assembly that the front fork was funky - one side longer than the other - therefore making it impossible for the wheel to sit correctly. So we returned it to Amazon and were sent a new one. It arrived in a horribly damaged box but we put it together anyway...put my almost 3 year old and 2 month old in it and tried it. Veered to the right, and after close inspection, once again we noticed that the front fork was messed up, probably during shipping. Also my 2 1/2 year old's head was brushing the top of the canopy and this stroller is VERY heavy and hard to turn. (yes I knew the front wheel would be fixed and had anticipated having to lift it to turn, etc.)
br /Too bad, I really wanted to like this stroller, but I just don't have much faith in the company anymore.

Overall the Stroller is good. The front wheel is easy to take off when I need to place itin the car, Kids fit comfortably etc. My only one issue is turning the stroller. When I have to make a turn with the stroller its difficult for me. I emailed TIke Tech and they said you have to tilt the stroller back to make the turn. I believe most strollers are like this anyway.

I never even got to use this stroller. The first one I receviedbrwas damaged and mising parts. The second one I received was also missing parts. I wasn't even able to contact X-Tech because the phone number was out of order. Not recommended.

Do you have a jogging stroller with front back seats rather than side by side?
