We registered this item for our 2nd (our 1st is 2 1/2 yrs.), but went ahead and purchased it when our Graco MetroLite started to become less reliable (wouldn't collapse anymore, and had to put it into our van fully opened). Hubby and I both have bad backs (and at 42 and 37 years old, our backs aren't getting any stronger) -- so a LIGHT WEIGHT stroller was a must. Both the Graco MetroLite and the Maclaren Quest weigh 13 lbs. However, our Graco was bulky even when collapsed, and after 2 1/2 years, it isn't as easy to push. Our friends started off with the Maclaren Quest, and theirs is still going strong after the same amount of time! We purchased this thinking we might as well get our money's worth before our 2nd one comes along -- and so far we LOVE it!

br /Best features: it's light, it is very compact when it's collapsed, and best of all-- it is easy to manuever. I can push it and turn it around in a store with one hand, while holding big items in the other -- with no problem. Also note, I'm short (5'0"), and finding a stroller that's comfortable was hard, but this one is perfect -- my friend has this and she is tall, but it's comfortable for her too.
br /
br /Why 4 stars instead of 5? My only complaint (other than the price), is that I miss the little cup holders on the handle bar. I go everywhere with my water bottle. With the Maclaren Quest, there is a small pocket on the back of the hood, as well as the rather small basket under the seat -- I put my water bottle there.

br /I highly recommend this stroller, and do wish I had it when my first child was younger.

Last year we went on a long road trip for vacation and to visit lots of relatives. We intentionally didn't bring our BIG heavy Jeep stroller so we'd be forced to go pick out a long overdue umbrella stroller. After several test runs with various strollers in Babies R Us and after talking with another woman there that had this one for a couple of years it was no contest. Yes it's more but it's SO worth it!! It can be steered with one hand and is easily pushed by my husband without him having to hunch over.
br /
br /A really big problem for me was that my then 13 month old son's legs didn't come close to any umbrella stroller's foot rest. This one allows the seat to extend so his little legs don't hurt from just dangling for long periods of time -- he can comfortably kick back and look around or take a nap in the super reclining, super soft seat.
br /
br /No it doesn't have a cup holder :-( but I bought one for $5 by Prince Lionheart. If you get this cupholder, be sure to attach it on the foam part of the bar or you will not be able to fold it up easily with the holder attached. Speaking of folding up, it's SUPER easy with just a *little* practice (5 or 6 times in a row) now it's lickety split!!
br /
br /We got it in the pretty Regatta print (blue and black) from BRU which I think is much prettier than the yellow or red.
br /
br /Plus it goes up to 55 lbs!!
br /
br /**Update**
br /Over a year later, my 37-inch 2 year old's feet finally reach the foot-rest. And it is STILL a very comfortable, compact convenient stroller that will tuck away nicely in just about ANY car.

Bought this stroller nearly 1.5 years ago when my boys were 20 months and 4.5. My boys are both on the large side. This stroller couldn't be better. Both of them would climb into it and go for a ride. Now the oldest (6) is too big but the younger (3) will still ride. I LOVE that I can manuver it with only one hand and no problems. The Gracos I have had could never do this flawlessly. However I would like a cup holder but I can always attach one.
Excellent stroller

I have an earlier model of this stroller and love it. I had a larger stroller previously (one of those 3 in 1 types) and this one is so much smoother and easier to maneuver. I have used it for 2 years with no complaints. Also, Maclaren is great in terms of customer service. When one of my wheels was damaged in a car accident (the stroller was in my trunk), the company sent me a new wheel at no charge.
We love this stroller!

We've had our MacLaren Quest since my son was 7 months old. It's lightweight, compact and durable. My son rides very comfortably and it's been a godsend on our vacations. It's easy to put through the metal detector at the airport and has withstood many travel adventures as well as shopping trips. The handles are tall enough to be comfortable for my 6 foot tall husband to push. The only drawback is that it has no cupholders. I bought the accessory for this reason, but other than that, I have no complaints.
