While planning a trip to Walt Disney World with our two-year-old, I began looking for a stroller that didn't require Herculean strength to lift into the trunk or Jedi mind tricks to figure out how to fold it. I stumbled onto this little darling, and let me tell you -- it was a lifesaver on our trip!
br /
br /The stroller, at under 12 lbs., is easily lifted and can be toted around on the shoulder using the attached strap. I recently ran across a parking lot in a downpour with this slung over my shoulder and my daughter in my arms with no problems.
br /
br /It also folds easily, just tilt the stroller back on its rear wheels and pull the two levers on the handle simultaneously --it collapes on its own. Join the two sides together and it easily latches itself and the wheels allow it to stand upright. There is a medium-sized basket underneath that, while not large enough to stuff a Vera Bradley diaper bag in it, is large enough to hold a purse, a couple o' diapers and a package of wipes for a quick trip to the mall. The back folds down and my daughter slept easily during her naptime while in Walt Disney World. The detachable front rail gives her something to hold on to, and if you have little ones you can velcro toys to it --as they get older, you can completely remove it. Finally, it is easy to gate-check if you travel with your tot frequently.
br /
br /We have since replaced our huge Peg Perego travel system with this little gem. I highly recommend it for all types of travel.

I bought the stroller when my daughter was just over three months old. I have a 6 year old, and a Peg Perego Venezia stroller and needed somthing a little easier to handle on quick trips. My husband saw no justification in spending more than $40.00 on another stroller.( I had recently purchased a snap'n' go..:))
br /I'm the one full time with the kids and that was enough justification for me. I bought the stroller and he was amazed at all the features. The adjustible recline is a must have if your baby is struggling to sit up like mine. She's four months now and the 5-point harness allows her to sit fully upright w/out falling forward. There is also a little front-zipper safety boot that zips over the front bar, so that when she's asleep, I can have her FULLY reclined with worring about her slipping out. The whole seating area is fully padded as well as the strap covers. The size, weight, and overall ease of use put this item along with my baby bjorn at the top of my list of could't function without it list.

I typically don't add my opinions here, but thought that I should. We have the Graco Quattro in Mayfair and just love it. However, we spend a lot of time going to visit family 5 hours away and don't always take our Envoy, or have the additional room to spare. So, despite my husband's opinion, I decided to shop around. It was either this one or the Maclaren--but that was out of stock and we were traveling back to visit family for the holidays in a week's time. Having read the reviews of other parents and the editor's input, I took a chance. Fortunately it turned out to be a good risk. Let me tell you what I like:
br /1. It definitely is light! Especially being used to the weight of the big stroller, this one is a breeze to pick up.
br /2. It folds to be quite thin and takes up little space--a huge plus!
br /3. It has a canopy. This isn't a huge canopy like my graco, but the first time we used it, it was raining like a son of a gun and my baby stayed dry...mommy wasn't quite as fortunate, but that's another story.
br /4. It seems comfortable for my 7 month old.
br /5. It has the 5 point harness and the bar. She likes to put her feet up on it as if it were a recliner. Very cute.
br /
br /What I'm not crazy about:
br /1. While the straps are adjustable, they aren't the easiest to work with. Takes a little time to get them where you want.
br /2. The recline isn't quite what you think it is. On the big stroller, there are actual positioned notches. On this one, it's adjusted with a strap on the back of the seat. Not the easiest or smartest of contraptions, but what we can't have everything. My daughter has yet to fully recline in it. I doubt she ever really will because it seems so flimsy.
br /3. The storage. Everything you read about it being small is true. I have a small diaper bag--the free black Enfamil one that I got at the hospital. That won't really fit in there. I just take the change pad, diapers, wipes, cream (I have a travel pack), my purse, a couple of toys, a blanket and that's about it for the storage. There is a nice compartment on the back for the cups and a cd/mp3 player if you have one--I don't, well not yet!
br /4. It doesn't close nearly as easy as my big stroller. Again, what can I expect for something that is considerably less expensive? It's not a one hander. Definitely put the baby in the car or have someone else hold you baby while you put this away. You need 2 hands because of the way it is designed.
br /
br /Overall, for a lightweight umbrella stroller, I'm pleased. I bought it elsewhere for a lot less though. Make sure you can return it if you aren't pleased.

As close to perfect as it gets for the price

After going through everything from a travel system to an umbrella stroller, this stroller is the best for the money.
br /
br /What we love: 1. It's lightweight(about 11 pounds) 2. It folds EASILY into a little rectangle, stands on it's wheels and has a handy storage bag 3. It has a strap to carry the stroller over your shoulder 4. The seat is nicely padded and can fully recline 5. It has a 5 point harness
br /
br /What we don't like: 1. NO parent cup holder 2. No child cup holder 3. Our 2 1/2 year old is tall and she will not be able to ride in this stroller for much longer 4. Small storage basket
br /
br /Overall, we are very happy and would recommend this stroller!

I bought the newer version of this 12/2005 (it is actually a 2006 model), this has 5-point harness and the one I got only had belt harness like you can get from an ordinary umbrella stroller. I was looking for an umbrella size stroller but a little sturdier, the sales clerk showed this to me from that moment I couldn't let it go. I am petite and always had a problem with bulky stroller. I bought a travel system but it was too heavy for me, then my husband bought a jogging stroller but too bulky for my Outback (nice size car), almost occupied my entire trunk and no place left for my groceries.
br /
br /This stroller is light weight, 12 lbs. and has a handle strap that you can put on your shoulder. It also stands by itself after you fold it unlike other strollers they lay down on the ground. It is a tri-fold, amazing size that folds like an umbrella stroller and fold it again to hold the sides, perfect for small cars. It is well padded too! Reclines all the way down, very good for infants. There's front handle that is very soft where you can put toys. The bonus part; it is compatible to combi carseat. I wish I knew that when my baby is a little bit smaller so I don't have to buy a universal car seat stroller.
br /
br /I've never been happier after finding this stroller. This is really a MOM's dream come true. I highly recommend this to anyone who are looking for functionality and space saving.

This is our main stroller, and it has it's good points - it's very lightweight, fits easily in the car, and it looks jazzy. But it's hard to push if you have your hands full - if you use just one hand, the front wheels tend to spin perpendicular to the stroller so you can't move. And the seat doesn't sit fully upright so I feel like my daughter is always lounged. The straps are perpetually twisted. The basket is pretty small and it has no drink holder, but those aren't big deals to me. Also, the handles are on the low side - I'm 5'6" and this hurts my back after a bit. It would be great as a spare or travel only stroller but for regular outings it's a little annoying. We also have a jogger, which is great for the outdoors, but not for the mall - and I'm not investing in yet a 3rd stroller to serve that purpose.

Great stroller, easy to carry and fold.

We got this stroller because we wanted a lightweight stroller to travel with. I was a bit worried about getting it because it doesn't hold our carseat, which is important when the baby is little. But we just got back from our airplane trip and it was a great thing to have. It takes a few times to get used to folding it, and it does take both hands. But once you get used to it, it's easy. And it's really easy to carry with or without the strap, because it's so lightweight. I'd buy this one over the other pricier brands because it does the same thing for less money. The basket is pretty non-existent unless you have a very small diaperbag or purse, but if you're looking for a lot of storage, you'd probably be looking at the bigger strollers anyway. I would recommend this one! It's very handy to have.

The City Savvy is a great stroller for its category. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and fairly stylish. I routinely carry it and baby up two flights of stairs without difficulty. We've even been able to securely fit our Graco Snugride carseat front-facing into the stroller when baby was sleeping.
br /
br /However, there have been a few problems. The harness is hard to adjust with the child in it, and it doesn't adjust tightly enough for a small baby. The safety boot zipper broke the first time we used it. One of the brakes became stuck and rubbed on a wheel until we pushed it back in place. And after everyday use for a few weeks, the seat back began to slide down along the reclining mechanism cords. I plan to fix the latter problem by replacing the recline mechanism with a smaller diameter cord toggle. Despite all of these drawbacks, this stroller is still worth buying, if lightweight is on your priority feature list.

Awesome stroller if you don't need anything else...

I love Combi strollers, but actually went with a Graco after trying out a bunch of strollers (we had a Combi, then got rid of it).
br /
br /Combi has great strollers, but if you need basket room, forget it. There is NONE. I can't even fit my SMALL diaper bag in it.
br /
br /That being said, these are INCREDIBLY lightweight, SUPEREASY to fold down, and really don't take up much space. If you just need a lightweight umbrella type, Combi is THE WAY to go!!

This is a wonderful stroller if you're looking for one that's portable and lightweight. It maneuvers very easy and our 15 month-old daughter loves to ride in it. We recently returned from an international vacation and the travel case came in very handy...no problems checking it and no concerns about its cleanliness after traveling in cargo. The shoulder strap also adds to its convenience...easy to carry over your shoulder and very lightweight. Incredibly easy to open and close. Great canopy for added sun protection. We are thrilled with this purchase...worth every cent over the cheap umbrella strollers!!!

I love this little stroller, for the price, highly recommended over the more expensive ones!

I compare shopped today for one of these. I went to babiesrus and then Burlington Baby Depot.
br /
br /I looked at all the compact strollers, tried to fold/unfold some of them, and found them to be a big hassle. Baby Trend had a nice little stroller for $39.00, it had great features, easy to use and was nice looking, but the seat was as hard as a board! I would not want to sit on a slightly padded board, so why should my baby! While I did look, and compare, I didn't try the expensive ones because I wanted to spend under $100.00, but to me, this one has the same features as the more expensive ones, if not nicer. As for the Combi, I didn't think there was too much of a difference between the Acoustic Canopy and City models, so I went with the Acoustic Canopy model from Burlington at a cheaper price ($79.00) plus my $10.00 off coupon, for a total of $69.00 plus tax. Well worth it!
br /
br /I like the 5-point harness system and the recline feature, I wish it went down a little more though for my 2 month old. It does say that you shouldn't use it until the baby is 5-6 months or can support its head. I intend to try it though anyways, after reading the other reviews with their newborns and how they love it.
br /
br /I think it is a great little stroller so far, I wanted a smaller lighter one for myself and keep my older, little bit bigger one that was my now 9 year old daughters in my husbands van. I think this is very easy to maneuver around and is not hard to fold/unfold either. I liked the shoulder strap and carry bag and I loved the Crimson color too. I wish it had a little bit bigger storage underneath, and it is made a little smaller because it has a bar that connects the two back wheels going right through it! Otherwise, I am looking forward to using this neat stroller! It looks like it will go in places that a regular stroller won't! I am very pleased with my purchase. Thank you.

I got this stroller because I needed a light stroller that was easy to close because I was commuting to work for 2 month with my eight month old baby. I do not need to bend to the floor to close this stroller it is very easy to open and to close while I carry my baby and it has a handle that make it great for me to carry into the bus as a back pack. I was concern it was bulky to fit in the bus but stroller bay and me fit just right on the bus. The best thing is that most of the strollers that provide moms with all this comfort do not recline, well this stroller reclines and it so comfortable for the baby. It is fully padded. If you are looking for a light, easy to close/open, and comfortable (for baby and mom) stroller than this is the best stroller for you.

This is a great lightweight stroller. I have a LiteRider stroller and a cheap umbrella stroller. The LiteRider was impossible to carry when folded and took up too much space in my trunk. The umbrella stroller was ok, but didn't have a canopy and the handles were too low. This stroller folds compactly, has a carry strap and is so easy to maneuver with one hand. I had to buy this when I took a trip home with my 13 month old daughter because I had the worst time getting through the airport with the LiteRider. This stroller allowed me to have two hands free because I could sling it over my shoulder with the carry strap. I only gave this stroller 4 stars because it would be sweet if it had a cup holder--but not a big deal at all. This stroller is worth the money!!!

This stroller is the best. I bought the Connection car seat to go along with it and together they have been a couple of the best buys I made for my new baby. The stoller is lightweight enough to carry up 3 flights of stairs (while carrying the baby in the seat). Easy to turn with one hand. Easy to fold. There is no cup holder and the basket is small but I didn't mind since my decision was not based on either of those amenities.

Hated it!!!!!

I bought this stroller because I was looking for a lightweight umbrella stroller that could also recline. And I was also looking for either an adjustable legrest if I couldn't get the bar across the front. This stroller had the removable bar across the front which my daughter liked riding around with her feet propped up on (really cute). The cheaper types did not recline, nor did a lot of them have a sufficient canopy, so I opted for this one. First of all, the upright position never really seemed to sit upright enough, she always looked like she was slumping a bit, yet the recline position didn't lay back as much as I would have liked it to. Also the cord that you use to adjust the recline feature, kept slipping on one side even in the locked position til I decided the only way to lock it was to knot the cord. Now, 100 bucks for an umbrella (type) stroller? It should have locked without a problem. Also folding was a pain in the butt. Supposedly, you could do this with one hand. NOT!!!! It took both hands. I also found that once folded, it took up too much of my trunk space...in that case, I may as well have kept my Graco LiteRider. Part of my reason for purchasing a smaller stroller, was to reclaim most of my trunk space. And as for the basket.....what basket???? That was so small, that on our trip to the zoo, all that I could fit in it was a couple bottles of water. Two problems, when the seat is reclined, you can't get into the basket without bumping your child in the back. The other problem with the basket is that there is a metal bar connecting the wheels that run right thru the so-called basket. I was very displeased with this stroller and returned it the following week. I ended up getting the Britax Esprit Stroller for the same price. The Esprit has the adjustable leg rest, a decent size canopy, a bigger basket, a cup holder for me in the canopy, and really nice size wheels for a smooth ride. So far I have been very pleased with the Britax.
br /
br /Oh and for the record, the Combi stroller seemed quite snug (not too snug, but ok) for my 20 lb. baby, whereas, the Britax is a bit wider and seemed to allow for room to grow. I wonder if the Combi would be big enough for a 45lb. child as the description says. hmmmmm

Almost perfect

I had read all the reviews before purchasing this stroller, so I was well prepared to expect that it had a small basket. Upon recieving the stroller I realized that the size of the basket is not that small. It's not big enough to hold a large, everything but the kitchen sink type diaper bag, like I used to have, but it would probably hold a medium, and definately a small diaper bag. I went out and bought a smaller diaper bag when I ordered this stroller. Much to my dismay, it didn't make a difference. One thing no one had mentioned in any of the reviews, is that the rear axle goes right through the basket! I'd never seen anything like that before. They usually are under the basket. So now when I try to stick my diaper bag into the basket, the bottom of the bag runs right into that axle and won't go in! It was quite upseting. I suppose I could take the diapers and wipes and his cup and change of clothes and etc etc out of the diapers bag and put it in the basket piece by piece around the bar, but who wants to do that. Now I just hang the diaper bag from the handle, even though it says not to do that.
br /
br /The second problem I had with it, that I didn't read in any of the reviews, is the handle is hard plastic. It's like they forgot to put the padding on. At first I thought it would be no big deal, but when we took our first trip, and I had to push this thing all over the airport and back, I realized it is hard on your hands. Not having the cushioning to protect you from all the bumps in the road is rough. Not only that, but there is a seam in the plastic running right across your palms and fingertips, which tends to pinch after a while.
br /
br /Having said all that, I do love this stroller. I had the Evenflo Aura before this. This City Savyy takes up so much less space in the trunk, it fits in the aisles in the stores 10 times better, it's much more lightweight (you really could carry it with one hand if you need to), the strap is a huge help, and the travel bag is a lifesaver. Unlike umbrella strollers, it provides quite a bit of support and comfort for the baby, and a huge plus for me, it reclines so he can take naps in it when we're out.

Couldn't be more pleased!

I have a 5 year old and a six month old and just recently purchased this stroller for the baby. With my first I purchased a bulky travel system...bulky means comfy, right? Wrong! My son is so comfortable and happy in this stroller. The 5 point harness allows him to sit up and see the world, and I don't have to break my back hauling a stroller around. It is easy to open and fold. It does have a small basket, but it hasn't really been a hinderance. I have a diaper bag that is a "stroller bag" which hangs on the back of the stroller. No problems with tipping. I always need a cupholder when I'm out with my 5 year old, so I purchased one that clips on to the stroller for $5. Works like a dream! Before purchasing this stroller we used a Graco SnugRide and a Snap-n-Go. Loved it too!!

I love the look of this stroller, although mine is red, silver, and black. I bought it b/c I needed a lightweight stroller to travel w/ and one w/ a shoulder strap. Although it is very lightweight, the weight does hurt your shoulder after 5 min of carrying but switching shoulders helps. The only problem i have w/ it is when baby leans forward the velcro on the backrest becomes unnattached and the backrest comes forward w/ her. This may not happen w/ a younger, lighter baby, mine is 19 mo. It didn't seem to pose as a safety risk though. All in all it seems pretty comfortable and does its job.

When I was looking for a stroller I knew I wanted something lightweight and easy to maneuver. I envisioned checking my stroller at the airport, and walking around the mall with my little girl in it. The sales personnel at babies 'r' us attempted to stear me away from the combi stroller. They pointed out that the stroller was small, and that I am very tall. I was undaunted, I've been tall all my life, and am used to having to adjust products to suit me. Thus despite the fact that the stroller is probably too short for me to use for extended periods of time, I LOVE IT.
br /Here's my top 5 reasons why:
br /1. Its so narrow I can maneuver around people in crowded places.
br /2. Its so light I can throw it over my sholder and carry my daughter in her sling.
br /3. I can easily store it in the trunk of my very small car.
br /4. Its stylish, but not expensive, like the bugaboo.
br /5. I won't have to buy an umbrella stroller b/c this one is the same size as an umbrella stroller.
br /
br /Because I am over six feet, and my husband is under six feet, he tends to push the stroller when we are out in public together, and he does not mind doing so. If I had gotten a larger stroller, or one that had cute baby designs I doubt he would be willing to push it.
br /
br /The only thing I wish Combi would consider doing to update the stroller is sell an accessory (sp?) pack with a stroller extender that fit the stroller without making the stroller look cheap.

Because of the fully-reclining seat, I was able to use this since my daughter was born (basically). I decided to skip the travel system and infant car seat and got this stroller and a convertivble car seat. This stroller has been great for 3 main reasons.
br /1. Folds compactly and doesn't take up the whole trunk of my Saturn sedan.
br /2. Light weight makes it easy to tote around (great if you have to go up stairs)
br /3. Carrying strap! All strollers should have one! I don't know how people carry other bulky heavy strollers when they are folded.
br /I really don't care that it's missing a cup holder (I have my water in the diaper bag) or that the basket is small (I just put the diaper bag across the handle--it doesn't tip over). It's a small price to pay for convenience.
br /I highly recommend this stroller. It was a great buy.

We love this stroller. We got it with the Combi Connection car seat. This stroller is lightweight and is quite compact when it folds up. I like that it doesn't have what I call "SUV wheels". It is smaller in size, but still has plenty of room for carrying things. I can get through the aisles at the mall with ease and I can even steer it with one hand. Another great thing about this stroller is its longevity of use. When our daughter is too big for the car seat to attach to the stoller, we will just begin using it as a regular child's stroller that will last through her toddler years. Comes with a rain fly for those outdoor walks on cold damp days. Only thing it was missing was a cup holder. But I found a deluxe cup holder attachement kit and solved that problem. Would definitely recommend this stroller to anyone with a smaller car or who is into shopping with baby and/or is into city living where big is not necessarily better.

Not only is this stroller lightweight, easy to maneuver, narrow enough to fit thru doorways, not too tall (I'm about 5'0), cushy, and easy to fold, but it is also very attractive and very reasonably priced (under $100).

Carefully review the other reviews on this item! The poor reviews are the one's I should have relied on, not the 5 star reviews! As other's have stated, this stroller has a small wheel-base, and therefore has serious stability and safety problems. I didn't think this would be an issue with my 2-month old, since she's obviously not reaching or leaning out of the stroller yet. However, I don't feel comfortable with the car-seat stroller combination for this reason. My biggest gripe is that the harness and snaps are of very cheap material, and the straps are VERY difficult to adjust. Ironically, the stroller is quite small, probably too small for a toddler, yet the straps are sized too big for an infant. I actually can't get them to adjust tight enough for my baby, so she ends up sliding down in the seat. The cover that some reviews rave about to keep the baby from slipping out the bottom began to rip after just two trips. The canopy doesn't extend far enough, making it worthless if you are walking in the rain or sunshine. The stroller is difficult to fold. The only positive on this stroller is the ability to recline easily to any position. I regret the purchase and certainly don't recommend it to anyone else.

We should have bought this stroller many months ago. My 5 month old loves this stroller. It is so lightweight and portable. It is great for traveling, becasue it takes up little space. It is worth the money to have this Combi at hand. It is easy to maneuver and seems to be comfy for the baby as well. The only drawback is there the storage basket inderneath. You cannot fit much into it, but this a minor concern. You just gotta have this stroller!!!

I've used this stroller for over a year now and love it! It's very lightweight, I've flown with it and had no problem easily folding and carrying it when necessary. I like the pocket in the rear of the stroller - very convenient for keys or sippy cups or anything else you need quickly. Changing the angle of the seat is easily done, even with my daughter in it. I love the color and style of it.

br /My only two complaints are that the underneath compartment really is small and awkwardly shaped and that it doesn't come with cupholders for me or my daughter - although I think they can be bought separately.

Just an OK stroller

I had been very excited when I got this stroller for my baby shower. I really liked the light weight and I had the carseat that goes with this stroller. Yes, it was definately a convenience when I had to go out the first few months. But now a year later, the wheels really do not push well. For me, it does not push well on smooth or uneven surfaces. Whenever I am in a store the wheels are always sticking. I have finally decided to retire this stroller. And I'll be getting a chicco umbrella stroler instead. One of my friends has one so I tried it before I bought it. The wheels and steering are great on it!!! But I had expected the be using the Combi for quite a bit longer than I had. If I had to buy something initially I think I would have gone with Peg Perego or Maclaren.
br /Sorry Combi...I really wanted to love this stroller.

Very light and compact, I like how it folds. But
br /this stroller does not maneuver well without the use of both hands or one hand placed right in the middle of the handle bar.

If you have an extra $100 to blow on an umbrella stroller, this may be it. I would never use it as a main stroller though. The seat is very small, but nicely padded. The basket (what basket? where?) is not even big enough to fit my small purse into. The wheels are tiny and have no shock absorbtion. Baby can feel every crack and groove in the pavement with these wheels. The recline goes back maybe 3 inches from an upright position. I see no engineering issue that the the manufacturer can't offer more of a flat recline on this model.
br /Overall, everything about this stroller is tiny. I can't see a baby more than 2yrs old actually being able to fit in it comfortably.
br /Another option (for the same price) is the MacLaren Volo. I had one a few years ago and I loved it. It was not my main stroller, but I got lots of use out of it. The seat is large enough for a preschooler, tall padded handles, nice basket, sturdy construction. The seat was a breathable mesh material with a slight recline. Check it out before making this purchase.

Not a safe stroller

This is a good-looking stroller. But to me, strollers should first and foremost be safe and sturdy. This stroller, however, has some design features that put its safety in question.
br /
br /It is narrower than most other strollers, which could be a plus for some folks who need to navigate tight spaces.
br /
br /But I have a strong caution: I gave this stroller a thorough trial in the store with my child, and found that every time we turned a corner, a wheel would raise off the ground. The stroller does not have a sturdy wheelbase and frankly scared me. The problem is with the design of the stroller. I would never buy this stroller for my child, and if you are planning on buying or using it, do so knowing it is poorly designed and could tip over.

What a relief!

Okay folks. Be prepared to be scared! I just purchased this stroller because the travel system that I've been using for my 4 month old has just been recalled for the very unsafe car seat. (yes, the most important part of the travel system. Imagine that!) The shoulder straps keep coming loose from the back of the unit, leaving babies with too much slack, or no harness at all! I found out the hard way! After parking, I almost died after seeing my angel had slipped down so her head was where her booty should be! The Lord was watching out for her, cause she didn't get injured in this potentially fatal situation! Since I had to give back the entire travel system, this gave me an opportunity to get this wonderful combi! I love it so far. It is so compact, easy to open and close, and maneuvers nicely in tight spots. Yippee! Yippee! By the way, the recalled system is the Eddie Bauer Glacier! Tell your friends who my have this system. Very scary!
