Living in Peru, few people bother to get a stroller around this price range (cheaper offer is abundant, so the brand is not sold locally). Having had a Peg Perego travel system the Maclaren Triumph is the perfect follow up for parents on the move that need a stroller that can be pushed by an adult standing up straight and that is also light enough to carry on you shoulder when needed, but most important, comfortable enough for your child to sleep an hour and a half nap (that happened the first time my daughter used it). Small hitch could be that the fabric seems not as stain proff as that of a Peg Perego.

My wife and I have bought 3 strollers from MacLaren so far. Lightweight, easy to handle and they sure can take a beating and a thorough wash down to come up looking like new again.

We love this stroller and, most importantly, our daughter does too! It sits upright just enough so that she's comfortable, but has the option to recline. We hated the drawstring recline option our old travel system had, it never sat up enough for our daughter. This stroller is light weight, and easy to use.
br /The only suggestions we have for future improvement would be to make the basket underneath a little bigger as it barely fits our diaper bag, as well as make the latch to open the stroller closer to the handles on top.
br /If you are looking for a lightweight, sporty, comfortable stroller for your little one, the Maclaren Triumph is it!

I just bought the 2005 Triumph and I love it! It is easy to use, fabulously easy to handle and best of all, my son loves it! I couldn't keep him in my Graco, and now he is just peachy in his new Maclaren! One thing I tested today was closing the stroller single handed...it worked! The locking mechanism is the best, just fold and it locks itself! No fingering for the latch and lock. Yes, it is a pricey stroller, but it is well worth the investment! I am beginning to accessorize...footmuff and organizer are next on my list! I will be keeping this stroller around for a long time to come! Happy shopping!!!

This stroller is great if all you plan to use it for is strolling down an even surface, have nothing to carry, and have a child willing to sit still in a stroller. It is very lightweight and a perfect height for tall adults.

br /However, from a day to day practical standpoint, this stroller is inadequate. The storage space under the seat is small (my small diaper bag will not fit) and the space cannot be easily accessed when the seat is in the reclining position. If you try to hang the diaper bag or shopping bags from the handles, the stroller will tip over when the child is removed. My daughter from 18 months on was able to lean forward while strapped in and walk away, with the stroller. Imagine stopping in a store to take a closer look at something and turning around to see your stroller walking itself down the aisle! It is even more problematic when you have a diaper bag hanging off the back, and she stands up. The whole stroller flips over taking the child, who is strapped in, with it. Not a pleasant situation.
br /
br /On top of the instability, the plastic part that holds the shade to the handle is poorly designed. It snapped in two when I tried to open the shade. Maclaren will not allow you to order replacement parts so now I have no shade.
br /
br /I urge anyone to consider how they will be using this stroller before purchasing. It is a nice stroller but not practical for daily errands.

I am very happy with this stroller. My baby girl and I go all over NYC in it. It is light, sturdy and comfortable for baby. The 5 point harness keeps baby safe and it has a nice shade on top. It folds easily, if you need to get on the bus or through subway turnstiles. Our little girl is comfy and it can recline a bit for naps. I also like that it came with a Maclaren plastic rain shield. It snaps on and fits well. I just wish I had this stroller for her older brother, since I had a heavy Graco one for him.

This is a great lightweight stroller for toddlers that should last for years. It is easy to stow unlike the humongous bulky infant strollers offered by an Italian competitor (PP) that are impossible to fold up and can cost up to 3x more. Our toddler is delighted to be able to see everything from his comfortable seat and it is relatively easy to fold up once you get the hang of it. However, I do subtract one star because the folding mechanism is not intuitive or self-explanatory but that seems to be true for most models except for the wonderful Snap-N-Go (which alas is only a frame).

br /We just bought the 2006 Triumph and saved a bundle (McLaren confirmed that they are functionally identical). But take it from a first time parent - you can't go wrong with a McLaren, the build quality is worth paying a bit more.

From an unhappy owner in Seattle:
br /
br /Before you buy a MacLaren, go to any playground and look at the wheels. You will notice that 80% of the rear wheels have worn unevenly and prematurely. When contacted, MacLaren says only that they must have been used too much. So, 80% of owners use their strollers too much? Or are 80% of MacLaren Strollers defective in either design, manufacturing, or materials (or some combination)?
br /
br /After owning one for 8 months, all I have to say is caveat emptor!
