This stroller is fabulous, handles well - easy turn with wheel swivel, very little rolling resistance, stays on course, great adjustable handle. I love the pouch on the back, the canopy funtions well, etc. For the money you just can't beat this thing! The downsides - 1) could use a wrist strap - the rolling resistance in non-existent - if you forget to put on the brake and let go, bye-bye baby. 2) the storage basket could be slightly larger (this is a multi-use stroller, not a straight jogger, so I would like a bit heftier cargo capacity). 3) The baby harness could be a bit cushier, it is perfectly functional, just a bit bare and slightly tough to use.
br /Overall this is great, if you are looking for a stroller for walking around the neighborhood, jogging on paths, going to the store in, etc. I would highly recommend it!

I love this stroller and it has been getting me off my butt to take walks with my son. The swivel wheel is a dream...it veers to the left a bit when walking, but you have an option to lock the wheel when going for walks or runs....I just choose not to and I'm sure it can be aligned. I was amazed at how easy it was to push this stroller and the handle height is perfect for my 5'10" husband and myself (5'7"). My son is 2.5 yrs and he loves the stroller. He even fell a sleep in it when we went for an evening stroll. The adjustable recline of the seat is great although I wish it could sit a bit more upright (I took off half a star for that). The bottle holder is a bit shallow (as one reviewer has also mentioned) and my water bottle falls out at every major bump (there goes the other half star), but there is a little pouch in the back. The stroller is a bit bulky (as expected) and we have to take off the wheels to fit in the back of my car (lexus sedan) and my husbands car (navigator), but the wheels easily come off on and on. Just expect to put in a little effort when trasporting this stroller to malls, recreation and amusement parks. But the effort is worth it once your all set. The stroller manuevers well in malls. It's nice that the front wheel is situated under the foot rest so it doesn't need extra clearing room when pushing through aisles and stored in the mall. I researched the heck out of all the swivel wheel jogging/walking strollers (thanks to all fellow amazon shopper for their reviews) and I must say for the price you get superb quality. Why pay more when this stroller has everything you'll ever need. I am very satisfied!

I was happy to find a jog stroller with pivotable wheel this affordable, and I have not been disappointed. The stroller is light but sturdy, and handles great on dirt paths and city streets. I love walking with it. When we first got it, one of the tires kept getting flat. I called the 800 number and they sent me a replacement inner tube at no cost. This stroller goes everywhere and I was able to use it with our baby from about 3 weeks on--just had to put a rolled-up blanket around his head to support it. I also bought the rain shield for it, which is great for our Northwest winters.

This product was not as good as I was expecting from the other reviews. There are a couple of reasons why I am not exactly thrilled with this stroller. 1) It is not a one hand release to fold it up like it says. You also have to push a foot release to fold it up (which they don't tell you in the directions). 2) Another thing is that the sun shade does not move so when I am running toward the sun, my son is completely in the sun. To solve this problem my husband had to attach a new shade and drill holes in the stroller. 3) One more thing that bothers me about this stroller is that when I am running the foot brake slowly closes and slows the stroller down and makes an annoying sound. I have to constantly stop and pull it up so I can run. 4) One more thing, is that sometimes the stroller does not want to stay up when I try to unfold it. One side will lock into place, where the other side does not want to latch and I have to keep putting it down and pulling it up really hard for it to lock completely.
br /
br /One thing I do like, is the swivel wheel. It makes it very nice to go from running to walking. I also like the adjustable handle, although when I had my other one without the adjustable handle, I was fine with that one too.
br /
br /As you can see, I have not been to happy with this stroller, although there are a couple of positives. If I hadn't paid $40 for shipping, I would probably return this stroller and get a different one.

This stroller is a pretty good value if you're not looking to spend a lot of money. I happened to get a great deal here at Amazon ($99 plus free shipping!) so I can't complain too much. I don't use the stroller for jogging, but for taking long walks on some pretty bumpy terrain. It performs well due to the large rubber tires and my daughter seems very comfortable in the nicely padded seat. The snack tray is also a big plus for her. A couple of minor negatives... the parent cupholder is kind of shallow so my water bottle tips over whenever we hit bumps. Fortunately there is a little storage pouch on the back of the hood that you can use for water, keys, phone etc. Also the brake bar tends to drag against the wheels (very slightly) after going over a few bumps. That is something my husband can probably fix if I remind him. :) Overall I would recommend this stroller for anyone on a budget.

We are very pleased with the performance of our safari stroller. Set up was very easy and took only a few minutes. We're not joggers, but we use our stroller to go over all kinds of terrain, including snow and ice, with ease. The large wheels make asphalt curbs especially easy to go over. We've only encountered a few minor problems. The foot brake sometimes drags unexpectedly, so you have to lift it up occasionally. The stroller is a little wide for narrow store or bus aisles. Also, folding the stroller takes some practice. We bought the rain cover for $20 which also works effectively as a wind shield for those cold, but drafty days. Our 10 month old often takes naps in the stroller, so I guess he must be pretty comfy. The price is fantastic for the value. Now if we could only find a nice ski pulk for the same price...

I bought this model three years ago, and after a week I wondered why I hadn't bought one when I had my first child. The swivel wheel makes it great for all around use, (the store or just taking a walk.) When the wheel is locked it does work like it should, but still has a slight wobble. If you are going to use it primarily for running, you may want to look at one designed only for running without the swivel capability. This has been a great investment, and at the current price it is even better.

i'm more than happy with the stroller, and the thing is not only the price (thanks amazon for that!), the stroller has all the specifics you need - huge storage, adjustable height handle, straps long enough to accomodate the winter blanket in addition to bulky winter coats and baby.. the swiveling wheel is an incredible plus, i'm not a jogging person, so needed smth with comfortable straps to quickly release and put a baby in during the walking sessions, in "just joggers" the straps are very inconvenient to fasten (but safe), you are not supposed to put/take out/put/take out baby many times. my biggest concern about it was the size, will i be able to put the stroller in my audi a4?..easy busy, one wheel goes apart in a second and off you go...Recommended.

This is a great stroller! It had nice sized tires for a smooth ride. Pushes well over any terrain. Child has ample room inside padded seat for comfort. Handle adjusts to varying heights for adult pushing...GREAT feature. Only downs to the stroller are sometimes doesn't fit into tight store aisles well and the storage basket could be a bit larger. Otherwise this is the BEST stroller we have purchased. Would definitely recommend to others.

I bought this to begin running again. My son is 3 and I was not sure how well he would fit into this, since we got rid of his regular stroller about 6 months ago. This stroller is great! He seems very comfortable in it and it actually fits him better than his regular stroller. It handles bumps and uneven pavement very well.
br /
br /I do agree with others that the drink holders are too small; we have to constantly hold our water bottles down when going over a bump. Also, the brake seems to fall down quite a bit, but we have bought a small bungee cord to hold it up. This also fits both my and my husband very well. I am only 5'2" and he is 5'11", so it is pretty accomodating.
br /
br /Overall, I am very pleased with the stroller and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

This stroller is everything I wanted except that as the stroller vibrates with impact and motion, the brake bar slips slightly down on the rear tires, causing drag on the wheels. It is frustrating to constantly be lifting up the brake bar with my foot as I hike or walk the beach or even stroll around town. I wish the brake bar could be "locked" in the "off" position, if desired. In defense of the company and product, I have not had time to call them and ask about this problem.
A Comparison with the Jeep Front Swivel Stroller
Rating: 4 out of 5
Weight: 3.8 out of 10

Thanks for your feedback
About a year ago, we looked at front swivel wheel jogging strollers. We wanted one with a supportive seat that would allow our son to sit more upright than most jogging strollers allowed. We also wanted one with a child tray. We opted to get the Instep Safari TT Single Stroller (which I think is the same as the Schwinn Safari TT Swivel Stroller) over one of the Jeep® Liberty® Limited Urban Terrain Strollers. We were able to buy the Instep much cheaper than the Jeep. Also, the Jeep we saw had speakers for a cd player which we had no interest in using. We have just recently purchased a used 2003 Jeep stroller. For our current off-road, non-jogging purposes, this is working out better.
br /
br /I would like to offer our comparison of the Instep/Schwinn Safari and the Jeep. There seems to be a few choices in Jeep models. Ours is used and I don't know which we have. Therefore, these are just basic guidelines.
br /
br /We've taken both strollers around a neighborhood with sporadic sidewalks and no curb cutouts and both have handled the mixed/rough terrain well. We've also walked on the university campus where there are small (2') hills and both strollers go up and down them fine.
br /
br /My main complaints with the Instep, and what I like about the Jeep, are little things. The cupholders are so shallow that bottles of water fall over. The child tray is not removable. When our son falls asleep we have to lift him out over the tray. The sunshade is beyond stupid. We live in Arizona and the Instep shade provides no protection from the sun. It actually curves upwards. We bought a Kiddopotamus sunshade. Although it provides ample sun protection, our son must essentially look out a tube. I don't know if the Jeep sunshade will be better, we haven't used it for daytime walks yet. However, it seems bigger and does not curve up and let the sun in. I will address the bad Instep brakes later.
br /
br /The Instep is bigger and the seat for the child is roomier. However, there is more head clearance space under the Jeep Canopy. I wonder if the foot rest on the Jeep will be outgrown faster than the footrest on the Instep.
br /
br /The seat on the Jeep seems better padded. The one we bought was FILTHY when we got it and it cleaned up easily. I had been certain it would be covered in stains, but it looks brand new. The Instep has a thin seat cover that can be removed for washing. However, it is velcroed in place. When our son sits down, we have to hold the pad in place or it slips and wads up underneath him.
br /
br /There are reflectors attached all over the Jeep. The Instep has no reflectors that I've ever noticed.
br /
br /The handle on the Instep is adjustable, so you can make it taller. You can also position it facing backwards and be further back from the stroller. This is probably advantageous for joggers. The Jeep is okay height for me 5'7" and I think my 6' husband is okay, but much taller and the Jeep handle might be too short.
br /
br /The back wheels on our Instep are bigger than the rear wheels on the Jeep. That might make a difference for someone who jogs. I haven't jogged with either stroller.
br /
br /Our Instep has a locking front wheel as does our Jeep. I don't know if all models of each brand lock or not.
br /
br /The brake system on the Jeep is better. Although they both have foot brakes that interact with the rear wheels, the Instep partially falls into place when you go over bumps. You then get a bump-bump-bump rhythm in the stroller. My husband actually stretched a bungie cord between the handle bar and the foot bar to prevent this. I haven't noticed the Jeep brake falling into place.
br /
br /I like the cargo basket better on the Jeep because it is bigger and much more accessible. Another advantage of the Jeep is for our son. He loves to push the stroller like he does shopping carts. He grabs the horizontal bar at the back of the stroller and pushes. On the Instep, this is the brake so he sets the brake. On the Jeep, he grabs and pushes with the cargo basket so he does not set the brake. The cargo basket on the Instep is very inconvenient. It's small and it is hard to get stuff in and out. I suspect for someone jogging, they would collide with the Jeep basket but not with the Instep basket.
br /
br /We've never used the Instep as a jogger, but rather as an off-road stroller. Now that I have used both, I think the Jeep is better for off-road general stroller, but the Instep is probably better for jogging. I still like the cup holders, sunshade, brakes, and removable tray of the Jeep MUCH better and think the Instep would be a superior stroller if it had those. Although I like the jeep cargo basket for my purpose, I think the Instep cargo basket that doesn't stick back, the handle that folds backwards, and the large rear wheels could possibly make a difference for a jogger.
br /
br /As of this writing, amazon does not offer the front swivel Jeep. However, it can be ordered from other sites. Some models are as cheap as $100 at some retailers.
Love it!!!

This stroller has quickly replaced our travel system (stroller+car seat)for several reasons: 1. The ease of navigation with the swivel front wheel is great for those times you have to push one handed 2. The wheels are sturdy (the wheels on our combo system snapped off) 3. It folds to about the same size as the previous one and has just about the same amount of storage space. If I had one area of improvement it would be the drink cup holders aren't deep enough. When we are out jogging the roads are sometimes a little bumpy and the water bottle will bounce out, but you can get those drink holder adjusters at the auto store and that should solve this problem.

The stroller is very nice. It took a little time to put it together because the instructions are not at all clear. There are a few steps that were just pictures - like how to fold the stroller for travel - that were not clear. And after throwing the box away, after two uses, the tray in front of the baby will not lock in place.

I have really enjoyed this jogger for running in the mornings. The swivel wheel is just fine for this. My only issue is the foot brake. I do not have a garage, so i have to store the stroller folded in my car. The brake tends to become loose and i've had to tighten it several times.

This stroller is awesome. My son loves the smooth ride and I love the steering ability (the swivel wheel is a must for a jogging stroller). There is however one problem that is easily solved, the brake lever has a tendency to vibrate down while in motion causing it to hit the gears that it locks into. This was easily solved by tightening the screws on the outside of the brake lever. Other than that this stroller is great. It folds easily and is easy to carry in the folded position, I move it in and out of the car with ease. The storage is great. I would recommend this stroller to anyone looking for a jogging stroller.

My daughter is 2 1/2 years old, 32 lbs. and I wanted to get back into jogging. After reviewing many strollers I decided on this one for it's price and features (swivel front tire, rubber tires, tray for myself and my daughter-snacks and juice keep her from getting antsy on my runs). I wasn't sure if she would be too big for a jogging stroller but she fits very comfortably in this one and hasn't complained during any of my runs. It handles great too!! My only complaint is that I have not found it as easy as other reviews say it is to fold up. I have a SUV so it has not been a problem, but I must say for me it does not fold flat at all and I am not sure it would fit into a trunk. But, most reviews have have said it folds easy. Not sure what I am missing, but...

I love this stroller! It has all the conveniences of a top-of-the line stroller. I do not jog, but need this type of wheel for the terrain I walk on. The swivel wheel makes things very easy for me. I can actually use this stroller for indoors, too. The swivel wheel does not stick out the front and take up space, it cruises under the baby's seat, so it rides compactly. I also own the double stroller of this same model, and love it just as much.

I have had this stroller for about a year and a half and I have always loved it. I use it several times a week without any problems at all. It folds easily and handles really well. UNTIL.... a few days ago I walked my son to the park and the stroller sat in the sun while he played. I guess the metal frame got too hot or something (even though it didn't even feel hot to the touch) because as we were walking back home the frame totally bent. The stroller fell over, the tray popped off, and my son almost hit the ground. Good thing I had him buckled in!!! And good thing my mom reflexes let me get my arm between him and the pavement before he hit his head! We were just walking along, going slightly down hill, and it just collapsed! I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else so it may just have been a fluke with my stroller, but be careful. InStep will definitely be hearing from me!

br /Consumer Reports listed it in their top 5 "walking" strollers. For me it's perfect for walking the neighborhood at a good pace, although I'm not jogging just yet it would be great for that too as you can set the front wheel to either swivel or not. Good sized basket, drink holder for my daughter and an adjustable handle for me makes it just about perfect!

I was really skeptical about the stroller, but I'm am quite happy that I ordered it. It came quickly and is the PERFECT stroller. I'm a jogger, but am also using it in many other capacities. We've had it to run on the beach and have used it in the mall. It goes anywhere. The best thing about it is when we packed to go to the beach it didn't take up that much room. The wheels pop off so easy, packing it was a breeze. And yes, the wheels go back on as easy and are very durable. It has just one little lock that realeases each wheel. The only thing that is a problem is that it doesn't give much sun block. Since I like to run when the sun is up, I have been taking a blanket and attaching it to the canopy and the drink tray with clothes pins to block the sun. Honestly, I think that is the case with most strollers, so it hasn't bothered me at all. I absolutely LOVE this stroller!

We have had this stroller for a year now and I recommend it to all of my friends. We live in a new construction area so the regular stroller just wasn't doing the job of getting through the gravel. This stroller travels on all-gravel roads wonderfully! We do have sticker bushes in our area so I had to replace the inner tubes with puncture-resistant tubes and I haven't had to replace them since then. My son is 2 now and he has always been very comfortable in the stroller. The hanging "basket" underneath can hold quite a bit of things and so can the pouch underneath the handle.
br /
br /I gave this a rating of 4 because I wish that the canopy extended just a bit more. It is attached to the frame so you can't move it down over the front of the child seat when the sun is low. But we just put a hat and sunglasses on our son and it works out fine. The other reason that I gave it a 4 is that the foot brake never stays all the way up so every once in awhile it starts trying to brake and I have to lift up the bar again. I'm sure this could be adjusted.
br /
br /The stroller didn't come with instructions or a manual and I called the company and they sent both immediately. Great company to work with, if you have to.
br /
br /For the price - it is the best that I've seen. The swivel front wheel works great and I love that the handle is adjustable. I'm 5'8" and it is very comfortable for me.

I loved this stroller with my first child. When she was 20 lbs and I could no longer carry her in a sling we got this. We've only ever done city walking in it. It's great over crubs, cobble stone streets, city park trails. I liked how the front wheel swiveled and being tall it's a great height. Now with my 2nd child and 4 years later I'm going to have to buy a new stroller. I can't use the front wheel swivel anymore. The back tire keeps going flat no matter how many times we bring it into the bike shop to get aligned and new tire tubes. It's a great stroller and I loved using it. Just dont expect it to stand up to time and possible other children you may have.

My husband and I love this stroller! We take a lot of walks- and this can handle any terrain. It is very smooth, and maneuvers well, even with one hand. We added a bundle me during the winter, and a ray shade for when it's really sunny. A con might be that the cup holders are shallow, so drinks often times spill when you go over a bump, and it is a little heavy for quick trips to the store- so I would suggest a cheap light weight stroller just to keep in the car. This is a great stroller- especially for the price!

This stroller has all of the important features at the best cost. It was easy to assemble, has the swivel (when walking or maneuvering the mall) or no swivel (while jogging so it doesn't turn suddenly) option at the touch of a lever. It collapses easily for transporting, has plenty of storage. We like that the weight limit (50lbs)accommodates the baby or the two or four year old. It seems to be a very comfortable ride and the brake is easily operated visibly locks both back wheels. I highly recommend this stroller...even if you do not plan to jog! Also, even with free shipping although the order said it would be 5 business days for delivery, it arrived the very next day!

We bought this jogging stroller to help us get back in shape and to have something easier to deal with than the huge Cosco Juvenile we had.
br /
br /Overall I'm very happy with it. Assembly was easy, it's very maneuverable when the wheel is set to swivel. You can adjust the seat easily and I love the basket underneath and the pocket in the back. First thing in the morning I take all his toys out of it, strap him in and head out for a jog. Later, I tie his sand toys onto the handle, throw his scooter over the handles, stick his helmet underneath and head to the park.
br /
br / There's some major downsides though. One is that it's really hard to turn with the wheel locked and you can't jog without locking it or you get major vibration. Also, it's a monster when folded. To fit in our trunk, which is a Chevy Prizm(the same size as a Toyota Corolla) you have to take off the front tray and both back wheels, then position it just right. Luckily it does have a way to lock it while folded so it doesn't open. The wheels are very wide, which makes it a bit harder to use while shopping at smaller stores. It's a huge improvement over the Cosco I had though, which felt like pushing a cart with a broken wheel.
br /
br /I don't have the time to check things out in stores, so I don't know if there are better ones out there for my needs. It makes a pretty good jogging stroller and park stroller, which is what it gets mostly used for. Overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

So far, so good. This seems to be a great walking/jogging stroller for the money. It's a little heavy - but I knew that when I purchased it. My daugher seems very comfortable in the stroller. Was very easy to assemble.

We bought this stroller for both exercising and general use. When you lock the front wheel it works well as a jog stroller and when it is unlocked it works well for a general purpose stroller. The only negative is that I did not find the seat back rest adjustment very user freindly. It is rather tedious to adjust the seat angle up and down. Other than that a great product.

This stroller was purchased after our Baby Trend from Target lost air pressure in the tires repeatedly and we had to replace them 3 times. Finally I purchased this for a great price. What a difference!! The tires never needed filling, it was smooth, and my daughter loved riding in it each day (2-4 miles on pavement). Now that I've had a second child, we purchased a BOB jogger (also amazing and well worth the money!) but the InStep was a great value.
br /
br /My only complaint (and one reason for the move to a BOB) was the lack of sun protection. It really doesn't provide coverage unless the sun is directly above or behind them.
br /
br /Great stroller you will enjoy for a long time!
love it

I have had this stroller for about a year now. My daugher and I both love it. We use it almost every day and have had no problems. I mostly walk, but have done some jogging. The only problem I have is the front tire does jiggle some when I am jogging even when it is locked in place. It isn't bad, but it makes the stroller shake a little. Other than that I love it.

My son just turned 4 and I was looking for a stroller that would provide a good comfy ride for him when we go on walks or short runs. He's in the 10th percentile for height and weight and there is more than enough room for him to sit or lay comfortably in it. It's been about 3 weeks and I am very happy with the purchase. The ability to change the height of the stroller handle was a nice surprise, as I didn't realize that when I made the purchase. When I first took it out of the box, the instructions seemed less than helpful but it was all pretty obvious once I got started. I like that I can lock the front wheel for stability during runs or unlock it for walks that zig zag around the neighborhood. It is very smooth and handles bumps, rocks and sand pretty easily. I am 5'4" and I have more than enough room to run behind it. I don't feel as though I'm going to kick the back or stumble. The tether is nice little piece of mind so if I did trip or stumble some, the carriage wouldn't roll away. My only two complaints are 1) the sunshade is absolutley useless your out for a standoff at high noon. My son likes to sit forward and doesn't always use the back rest so the shade doesn't help at all. I've read that others have bought an extended shade so I might look into that. 2) the brake bar falls as we walk/run and you start to hear it. There are screws that can be tightened so it's harder to engage the step brake but when I attempted this I just ended up stripping the phillips head screws so it's still a problem and has been a slight annoyance, when I'm running to slow down a little for a few seconds to "kick" the bar back up. maybe new screws would help this problem. Over all I'm very happy with this stroller, my son looks forward to walks and runs in it.
LOVE IT!

I got this as a gift for my third chils and I love everything about it. It took me a min to figure out how to fold it but once that was over we were crusing. It's light, easy to use, turns good and just oh so fabulous. I am one of those people that is hard to please and if I like I know you will.

I recently bought this stroller and I'm really happy with it. My two year old son weighs almost 35 lbs., and didn't fit comfortably in his stroller anymore, and it was starting to fall apart. I didn't want to buy another flimsy stroller, so after doing some research online, decided on this stroller. It is so easy to push, it glides along like it hardly weighs anything. It aslo has a swivel wheel in the front, so it's easy to turn. I use it mostly for running errands. It's great for going to the mall and I'm sure I'll use it all summer at the zoo, etc. I may even take up jogging now!

I bought this stroller for myself and loved it so much I bought it for my sister as well. It is great for going just about anywhere- the zoo, the mall, the park, and in the woods. The front swivel wheel makes a huge difference in geting around tight places. I use it for power walking and jogging around the block and it is great. I am not a fast runner so I am not sure how it would respond at a runners speed. This stroller has good storage, love the cup holders and basket underneath. I have used it for 21/2 years and its holding up well, the baby car seat even hooks in it and I am now using it for my second child. Folds up enough to fit the back of the SUV.
A fantastic stroller for the money!

br /We went from a Peg Perego Pliko P3 to this, this stroller is much smoother over sidewalks and road gaps.
br /
br /It was easy to assemble, folds up for travel, and best of all, is easy to use and has a fantastic smooth ride.
br /
br /Very high quality, nice 5 pt seat belt harness... rear locking foot brake (locks both rear wheels at the same time.).. Adjustable grab bar...
br /
br /Thick quality well made covering.. this thing is made to last.
br /
br /Best of all my 4 month old fits in it well and enjoys it! We use it for both walking and running.
br /
br /The only thing I found lacking was the sunshade. I fixed that with a cheap clamp-on umbrella from a local drug store for $5. It works far better.
br /
br /Its been a few weeks now, and I am still really happy with it!
